Hi Claire, I just got back a few minutes ago from Charlottee, NC and my allergies got the best of me. I have been miserable all weekend long. How are you doing? When my allergies act up, my asthma will start to act up, and I am trying to go to JA for the entire month of Nov. I still need to get the flu shot before I go, and every time I get it, I tend to get sick a couple of weeks later. I know it is not from the virus, it just tend to make my asthma act up. AH, I'm so tired now, I am not sure what I should do.

Your situation might be unique and you allergist or internist should be made aware of this reaction you have. There is a substance in the flu shot called therimisol that some people are allergic to and if you have allergy to eggs, that should be a concern. Discuss this with your allergist/internist.

I hope you feel better soon with those allergies. You know when I was in NY I had seasonal allergies and after I moved here I have not had a problem with them.

Hmmm....keep wondering whether to get the flu jab.....will see what hubby says

Wow, JaE What a beautiful little boy you have there? Can I borrow him for a week and pass him off as mine????:lol::lol:

Lawny..

continue to step pon di devil head.. him nuh wan vex wan mad praying ooman dem!!!

my ex had a likkle sense in him head dis weekend.. mi wa vex ca my youngest got a 70 on a school project... my girls make straight A's this was a big disappointment to her.. I had planned on helping her with it, but she was with her dad the week it was due and I decided to let him help her with it.. we had homecoming my week and was at cheerleading practice late..

anyway I told him I want to talk to him face to face, not this texting back and forth stuff NO MORE.. i gave him a piece of my mind and he actually LISTENED.. I told him no matter what he and I are going through we have to be a team when it comes to these kids and he know I am stronger when it comes to their school work, he should have let them call on me instead of letting her fall short (she didn't have some materials she needed or something)

I know he felt bad cuz my baby really wants to make the A honor roll and the grade could hurt her.. I hope this help him open his eyes..

Blue Lagoon is so bad. I don't know why I ever thought that was good acting.

Andre is hooked on "The Parent Trap" and "The Trouble with Angels" right now cause I showed him a picture of me as a kid with a bowl cut and told him everyone said I looked like her while I was growing up.

I love Parent Trap and watch it everytime it comes on TV

Quana - glad you got to have a real convo with the ex and he took your words to heart. Too bad your daughter getting a 70 had to be the cause of it. Hopefully it won't affect her too bad. Definitely a lesson learned though.

yes girl.. he has been so hard to deal with since the break up and he is STILL not over it.. I told him he needs to really pray for healing cuz I am not coming back.. He says the only way he can deal is to just ignore me and act as if I am not alive.. NOT an option sweetheart w/ 2 children..

yaads have u been back to JA since hubby's arrival here.. does he have a big family there??

Still not over it yet Quana? Yes that would make it very difficult.

Haven't back yet :( He has an average sized family I would say. We talk to them often and his mom has come up here to visit when she worked in Miami.

yes girl.. a lil over a year now..

that's good his mom has been able to come and visit. i've heard many of the ladies say once ur SO is here its hard to get back to JA.. I bet, life surely has a way of putting things on hold..

JG...here in NC you they are encouraging people to go ahead and cast your ballots before Nov 1. Even if you aren't registered yet, they will allow you to register to vote and vote on the same day, as long as it occurs before Nov 1. And this goes for everyone, not just those that arent going to be in town on election day. I think it's great.

I voted last Friday and the line was short and it was a breeze. I am off from work on election but was not sure I wanted to get out of my bed to go stand in a long line to vote, so I did it after work last week

There is just so many things working against you sometimes. Plus living on the west coast doesn't help anything...ticket prices are high and you waste 2 days of vaca just for travel time. We will get there eventually.

A little over a year and still having a hard time :( That's got to be hard to deal with for all involved. How does he feel about your new relationship?
