Wow! So my assessment was right? There is no secret hidden page that opens up a underground society after so many hits to your page? You just scroll through and endless list of stars and stripes and little sexy cartoon characters and pictures of people in their bathrooms posing?

Hugh?!?!?! Jawi, you taking some pain meds today?? When I'm on, it for a purpose so I go to a direct site. I don't shop around much. And mine is set to private, since I have pics of my kids. I have to grant permission onto my page. I chat with alot of yardies from here through myspace.

Yeah...but I was talking about all the design thingys people add to their comments...like those little meez characters on here. LOL

My sister has a MYSPACE page...cause she fly..she designs clothes..i mean serious fabulous stuff...she's good..sh ehas gotten alot of design jobs on there..and the money they pay her i asked her if they really pay that much..hell cause i would't

Yeah its a good site for networking. Myspace is what you make it. People have to bee your "friend' to really access all your page features. So if you dont give the riff raff access its a very adult site.

I stayed at Skycastles once and they charged my card twice for a 15 night stay (room cost $80 per night). The lady at the front desk wanted to catch an attitude because I wanted my $$ back talking about she wasn't trying to tief my $$. She gave me back $300 in cash and thought I would be satisfied. When my bank finished with them, they had to pay back NSF fees as well as the rest of my $$. I almost ended up getting the room free.

That's a huge amount of money!! I'm not sure I could stay in a hotel room for 15 days...I get to missing my bed and all things of home by the end of one week.

I would have been sick. At least, my wallet was safe on my dresser at home in the US...2 hours and 35 minutes...make that 4 hours and 47 minutes away from me in Ochi (had to add the car ride)

Eeeehhhnnn. Kiss teet. I have you know that I have never used MySpace either. LOL...I never got the point of it...what a bunch of comments from cyberspace? Please explain what the purpose to me...because I was clueless.

That's my thing too. Some of my friends are yelling at me for not checking what they said to me. I'm like....call me and tell me!

The only plus side of myspace/facebook type sites is that you can reconnect with people that you lose contact with or whatnot but people use it for so many more crazy things. To reconnect is awesome but if they are that important build a relationship with them outside of a website. If my memory serves me right on my myspace page I wrote - please email me at such and such an email address cause I know I won't be on there to be checking messages and all that crazy stuff.

That's what I think.

I get saddened when I see the lengths people will go through for attention on there. The pictures some post are just wrong.

Everyones a little bit narcissistic.

i had a myspace account and loved it.. i hooked up w/ alot of people from elementary and middle school.. Like someone said it was GREAT to see the adults people had grown into, their children, etc.

I am also a very phone challenged person.. I am horrible at keeping in contact w/ friends and family and email and text just seems easier for me. Myspace met that need. I could pop in and check on people and vice versa.

You are right to mention the foolishness that goes on, but u can make ur account private in order to police who comes on and off ur page, I, however liked keeping my page open, but fortunately I never had a mess happen to me..

Of course. That happened no far from where we live.

I think the scariest moment for me was this 48 hours special or something of that sort that had a cop prowling myspace. He was talking to young girls who thought they were being savvy by not giving out personal info. They talked about school activities, community things, their sports teams, etc. He researched and put everything together and ended up at their doors to tell their parents how easy it was to track them down and how they need to be much more careful. It was so scary.

OMG I saw that...scary as hell. Just cause you don't give out exact details doesn't mean you aren't giving out just enough vague details for someone to track you down. The look on their faces was priceless...priceless...lesson learned for sure.

That's understandable. Damien has Myspace for his music and my daughter has Facebook for keeping in touch with her friends. We monitor is VERY closely.

Myspace can be great and has many wonderful features but just like with everything else out there in the world some people spoil the pot and ruin it for others by soliciting sex, all sorts of nude pics, spam, hacking, getting people's personal info etc etc etc. Myspace/Facebook aren't the only sites out there...they all have their ups and downs and it is all about how you use them and how you protect yourself.

Do you know how easy it is to hack into someone's private myspace account? Easy if you have the slightest bit of hack knowledge and there are a bunch of "bad" people who are out there and do it for the sh!ts and giggles. Steal pics and info and all sorts of stuff. All in all...it is what you make it...just be safe and smart.

also got turned on to some good music w/ myspace (i am a music freak) anybody heard of Anthony David or Algebra Blesset?? both I have heard on the radio recently, but I knew about their music wayyy b4 on myspace

So you really use your real name to start a page, and your friends find you by typing in your name? How do know to add someone as a friend? What if that person doesn't have a Myspace page?

I personally don't remember half of the people I went to school with...and if we didn't stay in touch...I'm not really interested in picking up where we left off. LMAO...I am very anti-social and very much a loner. I can count on two hands the people I keep in touch with on a REGULAR basis.
