Hey Sunny..you have any crazy stories of anything you saw at the Embassy?

Nope, because Ray and I stayed in section A the entire time. We never got moved to the drama section. (Section C) where you hear all the drama. lol We went from window 6 to turn in our forms to window 8 for the interview. It's was that simple. I only heard a few people get blue slipped for needing to do DNA testing and one 87 year old man that needed to come back with birth certificates for all of his kids. Everyone else was approved.

Sunny, did you notice any approvals for fiances without the USC?

Nope, I didn't really see much. Most were families applying for visas. Maybe Marlita will have some stories for us.

Section A is small, so she really wouldn't see or hear much..

1luv - I give you credit - I am 5'10" and have had issues in the past with dating a shorter man - it just isn't for me - I feel like a giant, lol - Plus, I love heels and that makes it worse! Almost every guy I have dated is over 6' - DJ is around 6'3" -

Mom is staying in the hospital for another day - the dr. didn't like that her O2 levels kept dropping rapidly, and her heart is erratic bc of all the steroids they pumped her full - So I will go see her when I can get out of work today - my sister is up there now. She is in a good hospital, but the floor she is on is scary and not too attentive - When my Dad was last in there, they put him on that floor first - I went in one day and noticed that a colonoscopy had been scheduled on his board - I asked him why (he was kinda out of it) and he told me that was the procedure for the feeding tube! I told him - Ummm..... unless they are planning to feed you through your azz, no it's not! Turned out they had written it on the wrong board - we got him moved off that floor immediately!

Morning everyone! Yesterday was yet a nother blessed day with my husband. We went bowling and the arcade. I rode the heck out of the motorcycle game. It makes me want a bike. Any women on here ride?

On a more mushy note. I just want to tell those of you who may be struggling during your visa journey to bring your SO home to keep at it. Just keep going. Do the paperwork, make one more phone call, and don't give up on the love you've found.

I'm praying for you guys still on this journey or just beginning to bringing your SOs home to you because it is the best feeling in the word to wake up to them every day.

Be blessed today ya'll

Wakey

I used to ride Wakey, but I traded my bike for children. I sold it when I was 6 months pregnant for my son. After I had him, and especially now that I am a single mother, I promised myself I wouldn't get another bike until they were grown and able to care for themselves.

It is the bomb!! Go for it! It is great on gas and you will have a nice long season with where you live.

Thanks for words - especially today. This morning I listened to Anthony say for over half an hour how he realized he made a gigantic mistake by not going to the interview. He said he is feeling the pinch of it straight to his heart. That was nice to hear that he realized it, even though I already knew that! I told he it was apparently something we had to go through, because it certainly made our relationship stronger because of it.

LMAO... Jawi Ray is 6'2. I'm 5'3 or 5'4. Looks like Honey and I are the same height.

He was even towering over the older gentleman in the background. You are a shorty like me...LOL

LMAO, he probably was. He makes it easy for me to get a drink at a crowded bar.

That's the best! A is 6' 2" too...and his brother is even taller. My nickname at work is Too Tall.

Hey Roxcie! I'm okay...would be better in Jamaica...but hey somebody has to feed those hungry boys. Glad to see you back online.

Really, there are some tall guy's in Jamaica. He's the tallest of his friends. I always call him shorty. lol

I think Nanny's hubby is 6'5".

Tre, Mrs. Palmer and Jawi876 how are you ladies doing today? Mrs. P. I hope your wedding anniversary was very special for the two of you.

Hey Rox...our anniversary was WONDERFUL...the entire week couldn't have been more perfect...except for the fact that we couldn't get to Ochi to meet everyone :( On our actual anniversary he woke me up at 5:30 am to tell me Happy Anniversary. And then we talked for the next hour or so about the past year, and what positive changes we wanted to make for the next year coming up. He was so cute, telling me how completng marrying me had been for him, and how he wanted to live the rest of his life showing me how much I meant to him. Then he ordered me to stay in bed while he cooked breakfast, and served me in his undies and a smile ;) Later in the day we packed a lunch and a bottle of champagne, and walked down to the beach. It was so relaxing, and intimate on our little section of the beach. It was perfect. And we were abl to talk and talk and just enjoy each other. Later that night we just stayed in, ate dinner, and watched movies. The perfect end to a perfect day. I do love that man, and will spend the rest of my life showing him just how much. (L)

How nice, Mrs. P.

I've wanted a bike for years and keep talking myself out of it! I think next year with my bonus I'm doing it.

You know I was just thinking about the same thing how we have to go through something - when you think all hope is gone, get to the other side, and then you are like man I'm glad I stuck it out.

Honestly, when Dwayne first got here and I was so shocked at how much I had to adjust - not him as much I was sooo scared. I had to do a lot of praying and soul searching. I thought it was just about me and I didn’t realize how much he was changing also. Now, I rush home from work excited to see and talk to him. Many people in my life are feeling a bit neglected but heck we are building a foundation here and that requires some one on one togetherness.

I know you and Anthony went through him not showing up but he is still here for you and that shows his commitment. I’m not sure what he went through or who may have talked him out of his decision but what is sure is that you will find out as you and he get stronger and more committed to your love. His apology and honestly with you goes along way in showing maturity to you guys. Some people see if differently and I’m sure have given advice to let him go because of this but I say if he is loving you, treating you with respect, and being open and honest, Hang in there cause it is sooo worth it.

AMEN!!!

Intimacy, like charity, begins at home. If we cannot be intimate with ourselves, we have no way to bring to intimacy with another person.

Intimacy with ourselves takes time. We need time for rest, time for walks, time for quiet, and time to tune into to ourselves. We cannot completely fill up our lives with activities and become intimate with ourselves. Nor can we just sit quietly indefinitely and become intimate with ourselves. We have to have the time and energy to be our lives and to do our live in order to establish and intimate relationship with ourselves.

Surprisingly, as we become intimate with ourselves, we discover our connection with others

okay next question, though i vaguely remember this being discussed awhile ago what do we think about the purchasing of rings if our SO's arent well off???

i told D i was going to look for a ring and put it in layaway, but given he can save for phones that he wants i think he should pick something and start saving on it until april rolls around? yall think it is possible for someone who makes 400 a month to afford a ring?

Depends on what kind of ring you want. There are a lot options in this regards. I have thought of getting his birthstone or there are even diamonds that are created in a lab and aren't as expensive. Oh and I have seen on Ebay where you can bid for some really nice ones.

Look at diamondnexuslabs.com

But that is a good idea having him save or put something towards it if he can.

Honey...meant to tell you...LOVE all your pictures especially the headstand one.

I got my engagement ring in Jamaica, duty free. It is gorgeous and I get more compliments on it. It's 9 tiny diamonds set to look like a solitaire. Makes it sparkle so much. It really wasnt' all that much.

And, yes, Andre actually paid for all of it. It is possible.

okay michelle i will, my house is a wreck and i want to straigten it and then sit down with all the forms and complete them... i swear i didnt know i was filling out one form each for me and for him...LOL... but i know enough of his info to fill it out pretty thoroughly

Just a hint..on the G325A do it online and then print all 4 sheets off. They say each form is different, I didn't really see where but when you are typing in the first page it is filling in the other pages. Much faster and easier. You may already know this.

Each page is only different in that it says something different in teeny tiny letters on the bottom.

Good point, though, Dillon. It is easiest to do it online.

LOL - I was reading to catch up - I logged back in to see if we had any news of Marlita.

I love the headstand pic, Honey, too cute!

I just got home from the hospital - my sister rushed my Mom to the ER this afternoon with an asthma attack and they admitted her, so I went up with a change of clothes and her book to spend time with her for a while. Now I am off to do homework :(

Honey, Did you take forms with you for Dwayne to sign? He has to sign his 325A and his letter of intent -

I'm so sorry, Sus. I hope they get that under control very soon.

So no one has heard from Lita? I sure hope she is out celebrating somewhere.

I am thinking that too.

I don't know if anyone else reads over on Negril.com - but there has been an awesome story going on by one of the regulars over there. He has a little boy with a woman that lives in Negril - he has faithfully made multiple trips a year to be a father to him, and due to recent situations, is working to bring him back to the US - He quit his job and has been in Negril about 3 months now working through the process - His trip report (with pics of the beautiful happy boy) and the story are here:

Hoops and more hoops. Poor guy. That boy is beautiful.

JG- I ADORE you. Thank you so much! I am just praying for God to move in a big way!!!!

Even though I don't say it, I think about you every day. You just hang in there. Your time is coming.

Thank you!

It is so hard to believe in that.

I called NVC today and got RFE

This month is one year since we filed...and nowhere NEAR the end.

Pray for me guys :crying:

What do you think the RFE is for? Oh, I'm so sorry.

for DS230

Questions 13, 20, 22, 23 were "incomplete"

I called and only one of them was even possibly legitimate, maybe 2

they are going to pull my file, etc.,etc.,

I went ahead and corrected that one and sent it in

one was about his education....not wrong at all

one was his address...not wrong at all

the other was his living since 16 and I had one month that did not "overlap"

and the other was his job last 10 years and I may have forgotten to write the job he intended to have here

some of the words would not type in on adobe so I had to write them in when i mailed it and I might have missed that

I made a copy, but the copy was before i wrote those things in

ANYWAY

I corrected that and overnighted it. hopefully it will be fine. they said it would take 10-15 business days for them to get back to me so i figured mailing it was quicker

That's all you can do. Just hang in there.

Congrats Marlita!

Morning yaadies,wha gwaan????

Congrats lita and evan

I apologize in advance to anyone who make have been as grossed out as i am everytime i look at that photo in the headstand....LOL

Lawny, i lucky i didnt come back in a neck brace from trying to whine pon my head...LOL... dont think im gonna be spinning no time soon

lawny... LMAO...when me and dwayne was at the round robin, he came and said baby you want some soup, i said what kind, he said chicken!!!! i was like :crying: so he said ok, well later when soup was done he came back with a cup, i was like BABY!!???? but i didnt want to offend anyone so i whispered in his ear, does this have a foot in it??? he said, no you would see it, i said ok, i tried it and it was good as hell then at the bottom of the cup was a piece of something, it was dark so i couldnt tell, i passed it back to him and he ate it...LOL

Honey, my gurl, you know I love you...that was not chicken soup. It's called manish watah...I'll let someone else tell you what it is.

Ha................I'm not telling.

Wow - look at some of those salaries!! No wonder we have to pay so much in fees. Thanks for the post Rox.

That is exactly what I was thinking, Island.
