Yardies, at home and a farrin (part 8)

Okay so I had put together all the documents in a nicely labeled binder with dividers and protecter sheets. I mean this binder was fabolous! Any dummie could find what they needed in a matter of seconds. I made a photo album of about 75 pics of just him, me and the baby and I even made a scrapbook (thanks to JG). So I mailed it and it didn't get there until yesterday. Now mind you his appointment was yesterday. Okay so from the moment I mailed that box, I had been checking the status of it like a million times a day. So when last Friday came it still said that it was in Customs. So I'm panicking!! So come Monday the box was still in Customs, so I was like "Okay, he is going to make this appt come hell or high water. So me being the smart person I am I PDF all the stuff to him via email @ Kinkos cost me $50 because it took so long and they charge by the minute. He finally gets the scanned documents and heads to the embassy yesterday. Gets to the Interview Lady (American young chick) and she is asking him all kinds of questions and according to him he answered them perfectly. Then she says "Where is ShaNete" and he answers. Well in the middle of his answers she walks away and gives him a blue slip. She even had the nerve to say that his paperwork looks perfect but I still want to see her! ######!!!!!

that sucks.. I hope they give u a date here soon and that u don't have any problems getting off from work and getting ur ticket.. that has to really hurt u and sweetie's heart, but its just a delay not a denial. keep ur head up!!!

I know thats the good part. Thats the only reason why I am not pissed off. Getting off work isn't hard. I will just be glad when he gets his visa and he is up outta there.

See I would be ready to slap somebody at that point! I feel like the fact that you have a child with him and his name is on the birth certificate there should be no need for you to go over there! Do they have a complaint process? They need to stop all this unnecessary blue slipping people. If they want you there they need to put that on the dang application. Petionioner needs to be at interview so people can get their finances together... as you can probably tell I am waging war against unnecessary Bureaucracy! It is a waste of time and money some things they expect from people.

Hey guys. Can anyone recommend a good web site that I can purchase a one way ticket from MBJ to the US? I want to buy it for my fiance. I would like his port of entry to be JFK so he can try to get an EAD...

I had a travel agent get my husbands for me on Delta Airlines one way to JFK. He never used the EAD stamp was waste of time by the time his SSN number arrived which was 3 days prior to EAD expiration.

LOL - I am the same way - we have almost ALL boys in my family - only one little girl who lives far away from me - So I spoil my friend's daughter rotten, because I miss being able to buy the cute little clothes!

I agree with you Kimmy that K1s need to go to the interview - I would rather spend the money than take a chance on having to come back.

Do you think that a lot of Petitioners have been showing up for the interview and now they are "expecting" to see them now? I know I went to my SO interview. He didn't want me to spend the money to get there and the stress of him having to arrange transportation from Lucea to Kingston. But it worked out, we stayed with his brother in MOntego Bay and his brother drove us to Kingston that morning. I had been flying Spirit Air down to Jamaica and has a buy one get one free deal, so the flight was $40 bucks!!!

I know for the most part people have been recommending that the US petitioner attend for the ease of approval. What more could they want?
