Kimmy, I had to kick her out of my room on the night before my wedding. She was like where am I supposed to sleep, I was like I don't know, go and find a room at another hotel. My Hotel had a buffet breakfast, so everyday she would come back to my Hotel to eat breakfast. I was like this is crazy.

What? Did she not understand that you were getting MARRIED! Like what she supposed to do on your wedding night...sit in the corner and watch? it really does take some self-absorbed people a minute to understand the concept of marriage.

Girl, I was nowhere near them. I was in the front lobby and just saw the officers, nurses and support staff. If I had to go where those prisoners were, I would not have gone there no matter how much they were willing to pay me. I am a real coward, my dear.

I remember when I had to go to prison to visit a client on death row - the attorney (young female associate) and I showed up at the office that am in our suits - with short skirts - The partner looked at the two of us and said go shop at Goodwill and buy some baggy pants and jackets - Do you realize how long it's been since those men have seen a young woman's legs?

exactly!! Girl you woulda been a deer going into the lions den!! Thats how I feel just when I go to frickin Walmart!! You got yuh doughboys hanging out in the front and you feel like you walking thru a bunch of vultures. I have to dress a hot mess just so they can leave me alone.

I was going to volunteer for the prison ministry at my church. I went thru the training but I backed out. You have to be real disciplined. (lol I'm working on it) Anyway my church has a lot of rules on what you can wear when you go minister at the prison. You have to have on no skirts above knee etc have to be lower than the knee pants perferably. Women have to really watch what they wear. We also had to watch hairstyles and no open toe shoes no jewlery etc. They said some have foot fetishes etc. I was like dang I am going to have to go buy all new clothes just to go up in there! ROFL. The men who had been in the ministry for years were telling stories about how some men came on to them etc. You can't touch them or accept anything from them I mean not even a piece of paper. I was so nervous I was like dang what if I forget all this stuff?! I couldn't go through with it I was like maybe I better pray more before I commit to this ministry.

My mom, and step dad both do prision ministry. You have to go there like you are dealing with prisoners or the homeless. No need to dress up or gender specific with cute skirts or what not. Keep it very plain and simple. Its actually not that hard. just make sure you are dressing very modest. Think Muslim and cover yourself.
