yes ma'am gotta keep thinking that everything happens in its due season.. so u were originally gonna do the K1, but now u are thinking of doing the spouse visa huh?? why the change of heart?

We were planning on the K1 - at the time, it seemed the fastest route - But I have been watching timelines, and it seems like right now the K3 is only about a month or so behind the K1 - so I don't know - we'll see what happens when I get there - if we get married, it will definitely be a small private thing, nothing fancy nothing planned - I still go back and forth on which way to go -

Sus, are you going to do K3 or CR1?

It will either be K1 or K3 - I don't have the patience for the CR1 - I give everyone going that route so much credit, I would be shooting someone!

It looks like K3 has some advantages that the K1 does have - like AP already.

I feel like I haven't been able to get on VJ like I used to --- work is kicking my #######. I'm headed to Belgium in 2 weeks for work and there is so much planning that needs to be done and I think I'm literally going to kill my supervisor if she steps to me #######-eyed tomorrow. Pray for me (or her)!

BTW, I finally filed me and AW's K1 today!! I'm so excited that another part of our journey is finally underway -- let's get this party started!!!!!

Yep! That is one of the reasons I am leaning that way - especially if we don't bring his son up immediately.

So, I just booked a part of our hotel - We decided to spend the first part in Negril (I always wanted to do New Years there) - and then go to Portland and stay with Mommy for a few days, then probably the last night in Mo Bay so that we don't have to get up at the crack of dawn to leave for the airport.

Dance, Lawyers have a tendency of being that way, but don't let him get to you. To you it's your life, to him it just another case. Sometimes they lose their bedside manner. Don't stop at the first one though - move on to the next until you find one your are comfortable with. You have to trust your lawyer and their judgment otherwise you will never be happy with the outcome.

ryon, i swear im packing my book " lies at the alter"for Dwayne to read, im gonna sit down and write a list of bills, or maybe bring one so he can see, i dont know , i guess this is where i need suggestions from you all how to explain the money thang to him, i want to find out what his plan is or what he thinks it should be regarding his kids? what is his parenting style, etc? Yeah this is the final talk before we file, cause we plan on januaryi lord willing if his ID/BC is straight? okay, i cant hang long today,so i will pop back in momentarily

maybe some of the vets have better news, but in my experience.. Its like trying to explain the theory of relativity (is that something hard to explain?? LOL) or something when it comes to the finances. I mean I get this look and he say "I understand baby, we will be alright" He won't get it till he has to do it. My lil brotha is the same way and maybe I was too b4 I had bills. I thought it would be so easy.

The best u can do I think is just watch his current spending and see if its favorable.

Thankfully I have seen RG w/ children to see his mannerisms, maybe D has some nieces or nephews ya'll can go hang around for an afternoon??

Like Ryon said I think.. these talks are tricky cuz u want to say enough to help him understand but not too much where it looks like he is being interrogated and he gets defensive. Many blessings, i know u will find the right approach and God will heighten D's understanding..

His current spending won't really help you guage. First of all, it's like a moment of awe, the first time they see a mall.

Secondly, if they don't have monthly bills, or have very few monthly bills, it's a whole new ballgame here. Trying to explain to someone who doesn't, that we pay for EVERYTHING here is a very alien concept. My husband has been here about 2.5 years and has had his job ever since he got his green card, yet he still can't quite fathom saving for the bills that will come before the next check or for any emergencies or other unexpected needs. He figures he has money in his pocket so he can spend it. I want to strangle him by Sunday.....2 days after payday.....when all his play money is gone and he's needing something. Budgeting, bill paying, and saving are definated learned concepts.
