I got off the phone with the NVC just now, and ours is still in administrative processing...not sure what that means, but the lady was rather rude and abrupt...perhaps they don't like daily calls?

Oh well, here's hoping it goes out this week.

You can check two ways:

call 1-603-334-0700 and use your EAC receipt number on the automated service to check your status. (or you could talk to an operator)

or

email nvcinquiry@state.gov make sure that you include your EAC receipt number on the subject, also in the body of the email as well as the petitioner's full name and date of birth and beneficiary's full name and date of birth.

I've been checking myself...but from what I read this is the way they let you know.

Good luck!

NVC does not track K1's through their automated system so putting your EAC # into that will do you no good. Call NVC, dial 1 then 5 (i think, it's been a few weeks now ;) ) to talk to a human. They will tell you when the petition was sent out to the Embassy. Now go to DHL and track by reference. Put in EXP SEP 29 2008A .. using the day BEFORE they tell you it went out and then the range for the day they told you it went out. Confusing, I know. Look for your Country. It normally takes just 2-3 days to deliver pretty much everywhere in the world.

Your other option is to call DOS. Again, talk to a human. Do a search here for the #'s to get there. They can tell you when it arrived at the Embassy, if p3/info pack has been sent and if/when an interview has been scheduled.

good luck

I called and they have my case in NH, so i asked WHEN can I expect it to go to Kiev, (knowing yours left in 2 days) ...She told me 3-4 weeks!!! I thought to myself, why do i bother asking????

I will try your Tracking menthod thru DHL starting tomorrow, Thanks

That is a standard reply.

In most cases it's just a matter of 2-3 days for K-1's BUT some of us do get held up in AP...seems more common as of late actually.

You can try tracking it but you really need a confirmation from NVC that your approved petition has left NH and is headed out to the Embassy. Only calling them again will do that. The letters mean nothing. Once you have a date you can start trying to track it.
