How soon after receiving EAD did you get a job?

I didn't go through the EAD process since I arrived on a CR1 visa but it took me 3 weeks to find a job. I'll be working in the health information management department of a hospital here.

I got my first job three weeks after I got my EAD. I have been working at the same place since March 27,06.

I do Video/Account Management for this company. I really enjoy it.

K-1/K-2 VISA'S APPROVED IN MONTREAL MAY 2, 2005

K-1/K-2 AOS APPROVED IN ATLANTA MAY 17, 2006

10 year GC Approved - APRIL 16th ,2009 - Peggy and Jonathan's......

Still waiting for our cards...Had to file I-90 as they sent them to the wrong address.

March 9th, 2010, Received GC that has been lost in the mail for 10 months. Still waiting for my son's that is lost as well.

Filed Waiver for my son's 10 year GC and it was approved. He finally received his GC after its been missing for 2 years.

Thanking God this is over for 10 years.

When you received your EAD, how many months did it take for you to start a job? What kind of job did you start with?
My sweetie had several offers in hand before she even got her EAD. The first job she took was as an admin assistant at the university (about $35K/year + benefits). She worked there about two and a half years before taking a job in the financial industry (almost twice the pay). Edited by akdiver

PEOPLE: READ THE APPLICATION FORM INSTRUCTIONS!!!! They have a lot of good information in them! Most of the questions I see on VJ are clearly addressed by the form instructions. Give them a read!! If you are unable to understand the form instructions, I highly recommend hiring someone who does to help you with the process. Our process, from K-1 to Citizenship and U.S. Passport is completed. Good luck with your process.
