Hi all,

A question on the DS-3032 Choice of Agent.

I plan to have my parents download this DS-3032, sign and send it to me so that I could send to NVC later when NVC asks for it (I'm the Agent for my parents).

At the top of this DS-3032, it says "Place Case Barcode Strip Here Before Mailing to the National Visa Center.", can I WRITE the case number instead of placing the Barcode Strip (because my parents won't have this number before NVC send them the DS-3032)? Is it legal just to WRITE the case number?

Others have mentioned about generating the Barcode but I'm not leaning toward this "short cut" method.

Is there other faster way than waiting until NVC sends this DS-3032 to my parents (then they sign it, send it to me, etc..would take 1-2 months)?

Please advise. Thank you very much.

Have them download and fill out DS-3032 now and send it to you so that you will have it when you need to send it to NVC, no barcode needed on DS-3032. Barcode is needed later for DS-230 packet.

the fastest way is to email the ds3032.... that's what my mom and i did... there is a sample here in visa journey about emailing ds3032... it took a week before i received an email from NVC that they received the DS3032...after NVC received the DS3032 i was able to pay the IV fee bill online...

The e-mail template indicated "Beneficiaries Name"...

Does it mean both of my parents can send one single e-mail for DS-3032 to NVC by putting both names on this e-mail template? or each of them must send a separate e-mail to NVC?

Since I filed I-130s for my parents and younger brother, does it mean they all will have the same NVC Case Number?

Please advise. thanks.

i don't know if you only send one email for your parents and brother....

if it were me i would send three separate emails to show that it came from each of them(the parents and the brother).... and since separate I-130's were filed for the parents and the brother, my guess is each of them would have separate NVC numbers... just my thought...don't take my word for it...
