My wife just became a USC, she wants to bring her parents over from Iran, Is there anything special that needs to be done since Iran does not have diplomatic ties with the US. We are in the process of filing out the I-130 and getting the forms together, any other suggestions?

Thank you,

Arshia

They will work with the Consulate in Ankara Turkey for their visa applications/interviews, but other than that (and no police certificate available) there isn't much else they can do. Based on what I've read, I would have them start now to get their documents collected.. things can take a long time. Your wife clearly has some experience, and there is a moderator at britishexpats.com in the marriage based forum (http://britishexpats.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=&f=35) with an Iranian spouse.. they have the feet on the ground experience of working with that particular country :)

Congrats to your wife!
