Hi everyone!

My fiance sent package 3 back to Guangzhou Consulate two weeks ago, when do we except to recieve package 4?

I called the visa center they said, just the computer shows they sent package 3 to my fiance in Sept. 4, 2008

and dose not show the package 3 recieved to Guangzhou Consulate yet or just they will send P-4 without loging P-3 recieved.

Thank!

They will log in packet 3 before sending out P4, P3-P4 tends to take a month or so for GUZ.

In the meantime I highly recommend joining and studying everything you can on "A Candle for Love" that site has extensive information on Guangzhou consulate. GUZ can be a particularly HARD NUT for those who are unprepared, they LOVE to deny K-Visas for some of the simplest reasons.

the consular VO are looking for evidence of a genuine relationship between the two of you. could be good for the marriage if that was the case, too.

seriously, skip the pictures of you visiting historic/scenic locations together, and spend some time with her family. pictures of you with her mother in their home are gold, but whether she really knows who you are, in detail, is much more important. you are in control of this stuff.

she should know your birthday, family structure, and occupation in detail, have pictures of your house inside and out, copies of 3-4 recent bank statements, your last year's tax filing, your army discharge papers, a recent newspaper from your hometown, whatever, and be able to talk about it all in some detail. if you are there in the waiting room, she should be holding your passport conspicuously on the top of her docs pile under her left hand, on which is an engagement ring (buy this in america - too many fakes in china).

a common language is also a high priority in this consulate. if your GF is fluent english, have her introduce herself to the VO and indicate that she is fluent english, and offer to conduct the interview in english. if not, you may be in trouble. candle for love reports this as a significant issue. a plan for her employment in the US is very important, as is her general knowledge of american culture.

a lucky man has an italian cook, an english butler, a german mechanic, an american lawyer, and a chinese wife.

an unlucky man has a german cook, an italian butler, an english mechanic, a chinese lawyer, and an american wife.

here's to hoping yours is as sincere (and as hot) as mine. :P
