This name check thing is like a shadow following us all over the place. Now I am scared of getting one which will be a bazzar time for us. I have heard before if you work for a govermental agency in your country there is more likley to get a name check and if you never have worked then you more likely won't get one.

So I finally got a copy of my husband's Form, it must be an older version or maybe newer.. Not sure, but it has the most Harsh wording on it, no wonder my husband thought the worst.

Beside it stateing that:

X Section 221(g) which prohibits the issuance of a visa to anyone whose application does not comply with the provisions of the Immigration and Nationality Act or regulations issued pursuant thereto. The following remarks apply in your case*

Your application requires administrive processing and/or additional clearance. Our office will call you as soon as this processing is complete. If you do not hear from us within 10 weeks of your application, you may send an email to check on the status of your case.

*WARNING: IF YOU FAIL TO TAKE THE ACTION REQUESTED WITHIN ONE YEAR FOLLOWING VISA DENIAL UNDER SECTION 221(G) OF THE IMMIGRATION AND NATIONALITY ACT SECTION 223(G) OF THE ACT REQUIRES THAT YOUR APPLICATION BE CANCELLED.

Has anyone else receieved this type of form? it's not blue, but plain white....

oh no :crying: :crying: is that infamous "administrative processing" that a lot of people go through? I hope our case is not going to go through that hell again.. sorry I don't have any info on admin processing contacts, but you can use this list if you want.. sorry to see you are still stuck and can't get through yet..

wow, 10 weeks.. did they tell you that long for the admin review? haha, just saw it on your first post.. well, I said "they can go to hell" for that.. just like today, I called the NVC and they received my case (10/1/2008) and entered into the system.. I was asking for the IITN to pay for the stuff online, but the operator told me to wait 4-6 weeks when my lawyer will receive it.. but I'm going to call back the day after tomorrow =) nothing they say makes sense now.. just give me the IITN number and I won't be calling anymore, how hard is that?.. well, maybe they have to get up and out of their chair to go get it??.. whoa, that's real hard to do.. the operator even said they received it and it was entered 9/30/2008..

That's great GOGO.. try late at night and just say something like you want it for your records... Don't mention that you want to pay online... For some reason they dont like to hear pay online :rofl: and after 6pm their time is good time to call.... GOOD LUCK.. don't give up I tried like 5 times before I got it!!

What can I do, my family is here and my parents are eldery and sick :( and my husband's country is torn between deadly Violence almost everyday. I would gladly go there to live, but it's not stable :crying:

And you still want to stay in this Country that doesn't respect family values. Really sorry to hear the AP.

7-28-08 interview- AP for 4-6 weeks (awaiting name chk clearance-told by chenai operator)

8-20-08 chennai forwarded file to DOS- according to inquiry from congressmans office

(also confirmed by DOS)

8-28-08 file reached DOS- told by operator

9-2-08- last update to case,told by DOS

12-12-08 emailed chennai embassy asking status of our case, and got email to send passport..

12-15-08 submitted passport to vfs

12-19-08 VISA ISSUED! in hand!

12-25-08 hubbys arrival! smooth POE!

1-16-09 green card arrives

1-27-09 SSN card in mail
