Just wanted to share my joy with you all. I called in today and found out that my case was completed at the NVC and they are going to be scheduling the interviews by the second week of October for November timeframe. They said I should call back during the 3rd week of October to see when my interview is scheduled for and that they will also be sending me and my wife confirmations in the mail. I just can't wait!

So, now that I know my interview is coming up. What should I bring? From reading the forums this is what I've gathered I needed for my interview. If you could provide input in what worked best for you let me know.

- *Passport to give to them

- *Pre-paid Envelope for my passport

- I sent in all my original documentation and I didn't make copies of my police background check so I hope this is ok. I have an extra copy of my birth certificate long form, I ordered a few just in case.

- Some photos, since I can't bring my computer or any electronics and most of our pictures are digital how many should I bring? We've been together for 8 years now and we take a lot of pics

- Letters and cards from my wife (not sure if I need to bring a pile of these in as well)

- Anything else fellow LJ'ers can suggest.

*Must Haves

Thanks to everyone on LJ for the support and helpfulness. I (L) you all.

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

We sent in the I-864 to the NVC with our DS-230, will the embassy have those forms when I get to my interview or will I have to bring additional support information? Some thing with my Police background check and my passport sized photos, I already sent those into the NVC along with my DS-230.
