Just looking for some information and advice about this document. My fiance called the police department to ask if a certain person's signature would be okay on his photo and they told him "yes." My fiance received an email today stating that they won't take that person's signature. We're wondering why not...and what we're supposed to do now. I don't even understand the need for it unless it's the equivalent of a reference like you'd need for a job application in which case, the person who signed it is not a relative and has known my finance for quite a long time.

This is a potential 3-4 weeks added to an already drawn out process and I have a feeling our packet 3 will now beat the police certificate back to him. Should we be worried about running out of time to get the completed checklist sent back to the Embassy?

Thanks,

Kelly
