Is it me or do the Mena boards seem quiet lately???

I honestly don't get it though. And I probably shouldn't even dive deeper into it here BUT, what ####### is there to avoid? I haven't seen problems in here for months. Sure a few spats but that's normal when the majority are women who pms, etc. I thought it's been pretty tame here for the past few months but maybe I'm just not getting the undertone or something.

That could be part of it, though my husband has had his visa since April. I mainly just post here while I'm at work to fill in the boring times here.

It's because everyone's afraid of me.

It's because everyone has found another place to play where they can call each other rancid cows, dredge up past wrongs, and gossip about each other from behind other usernames to their heart's delight.

Yeah that place is a mad house. People over there are fat ugly sows, stupid, dipsh!ts, trannies, etc. (And thats what they call me )

I find it amusing there, and there are some good people there too that just like to swear like drunken sailors. But it isn't a place for people with thin skins because they attack all....lol

I still come back here however because I love you all. I cry when you cry and I rejoice when you rejoice. And I hope that some of what I have learned on my journey can help others.

I still haven't figured out the tranny thing.... Where the hell did that come from? Out of her #######?

Not sure I understand this idea that the "cliques" are gone. What defines a clique? Is it a group of people who have a lot in common who also maybe communicate with each other on a regular basis off of VJ? If so, I think cliques are alive and well!

That's not to say that it's a bad thing - in fact, it's quite natural I think.

For me...and I'm just talking about myself. I was feeling depressed w/ all the attacking and just plain mean attitudes. This site is about support. I was not attacked in particular but my friends were. I take things personally. It was over time...not just one thing that sent me away for a week to think why I felt that way. It had a lot to do w/ the negative posts, some horrible events that have occurred and PM's flying around and as some stated the cliques. Everyone has a right to post and have an opinion but when their comments are constantly negative (about anything from embassies interview dates, lives of others, past history or just any personal things people could get their hands on...) it begins to take a toll. I just felt tired of it and needed a break.

I think others just choose to ignore it or they are part of the problem. I want support from people not comments that will bring me down. The stuff we go thru with distance from loved ones, government process....that’s enough stress we don't need people to pick sides or make others feel left out. However, I realize we don't live in a perfect world so why would I think this board could be peaceful either... :blink:

I must admit I have not been on for awhile... Younes made it here on September 3rd, and I have been busy as H###. This process is alot harder than I thought it would be. Talk about trying my patients. I must say, I miss the chats. See you guys soon.
