Visa Fee Question

Hi in my package three it says there is a Visa Fee, "You must deposit the visa fee to any Scotia Bank in Canada prior to interview. ".

But my question is it doesnt say if the fee is just for myself, or my children too who are connected to my visa. They will not be attending the interview but I want to be sure on if I have to pay the fee for them too or just myself. Does anyone know ? Or has anyone receive a K-1 Visa with children on theirs too, and did you have to pay the fee for them ?

Thanks for the help Stacey

I'd recommend calling the NVC and asking a representative if you are uncertain what you must pay. It's weird that they are telling you to go to Scotia Bank. I know that there is another fee involved with the I-129F but I'm not sure what it is since I am doing the I-130 myself.

The number to call is (603)334-0700 have your NVC case number ready along with your information and your fiance's (name & DOB).

One visa per each person

the fee is $131 PER each visa....

$131 for each visa.. you and each of your children will get thier own visa. So you and two children = 3 x $131 = $393 to ScotiaBank

Is depositing it in that bank required for K1?

I was under the assumption you bring the $131 cash with you to Montreal and hand it over at that point.

It depends which consulate you're going to. Vancouver requires that you deposit it ahead of time.

See my timeline for my K-1 and AOS/EAD/AP details.

You are right, Montreal is $131 US cash. Vancouver is the bank deposit only.

If they gave you multiple, then do one for each, if they gave you only one, then do one payment.
