Hi Bamdame,

In answer to your "back up":

1) Yes, one check (lol..or if you prefer to spell it the Canadian way, cheque) of $545 is fine. Also on it write on it your A# and that it is for both the application and biometrics fees.

2) Yes, a personal check/cheque is fine (I did it that way, and I found that I could track it online too)

3) Not sure about this one, as I sent mine before then. But yes, if there is a latest version of the application form, do send that one in instead

4) No passport photos required for the I-751. Although if you have other photos as part of your evidence, do send those in.

5) Don't forget to send in your joint evidence as well (see form instructions for what's required).

Hope this helps. Good luck in sending in your application and for the rest of your immigration journey.

Ant (Still waiting at the VSC)

P.S. By the way, since you're also at the VSC for the I-751, you can add your name and information to the following message thread list: "VSC I-751 Status List" (look for the last updated list on the last page), so you can see your own progress and help all VJers on this same long wait too. Thank you.: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=110056

 Ok all,

Back us up.

Sending only 1 check is ok ($545)?

"Check" can be a personal check?

Latest I-751 has to sent...8/25/08 version?

Do we need to send 2 passport photos?

Thanks

Looks good, don't forget the "evidence".. we sent bills, travel ticket stubs, some photos, rent/lease agreement, car title, copies of GC of course, DL's..etc We covered only the time period from AOS till present, everything previous we'd already done. One thing I don't think we did was put my A# on the back of the cheque!.. I struggle at times to have to spell cheque check.. it's not like it's a cheque but I'm checking for something  We sent one cheque for $545 and included a cover letter of course explaining everything. We're hoping for a speedy NOA and onward to biometrics!!

Good luck..

Hi Bamdame,

Your list of evidence looks good, as it covers both financially and personally, and you more likely than not shouldn't get an RFE for that. Make sure that all the evidence covers the span of your conditional residency and your marriage too.

As for the passport pages (I also posted this somewhere else in the forum before): In my situation, my Canadian passport is in my maiden name, with the front main page (the one with the photo, name, information, machine-readable codes, etc.) on 1 page, notation about my married name on 1 page, some passport stamps on 2-3 pages, and the rest of the 20+ pages are blank (lol...as you can see I don't use my passport much). There is no need to submit the blank pages of the passport, and I did not submit such. After all, why would they want to see 20-30 pages of blank information? I only submitted the front main page and the page which showed the married name notation, which when photocopied was about 2 pages or so total. Actually photocopies of the passport is not required for the I-751 stage of the immigration process. However, I did photocopy such as to show documented evidence of my married name and to show the fact that I am a Canadian citizen.

For more information as to what I submitted for the I-751 a few weeks ago, you can read the following message thread: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...c=118868&hl=

Hope this helps. Good luck on the rest of your immigration journey.

Hi Aidan80,

I totally understand where you are coming from there. Likewise, I still think "cheque" is the proper spelling, and frankly the Americans can learn a thing or two about the proper English/British/Canadian spelling (lol..after all, the English were the ones that invented English, right?).

It's confusing here in the USA that word "check" can be used three ways:

1) Check (noun), as in the paper bank check

2) Check (verb), as in to double check/check something

3) Check (noun), as in to checkmark a box on a form

So, make sure you check to see: that you check all the boxes on the form and send in the bank check. No wonder this is confusing...lol...
