I went to Wendys to get one of their delicious salads last month, only to find that the salads they sell in the US are different. For some reason my wife can never pronounce poutine right. She always says [thick accent] pou-TAAAANE.

Wendy's is totally different in the US.. I actually prefer Burger King over Wendy's, the opposite is true in Canada

(of course there are other places that I like better then both those places :P)

Wendy's in Canada is 100 times better than in the US..... . it is really strange

Ha ha. I remember ordering brown toast at an American restaurant and the server just stood there and blinked at me. Then she said "Do you mean you want it toasted dark?"

Haha- I always say brown toast. I usually get the pause but they do ask "whole wheat?"

Thats sooo funny about the whipping cream because today at the grocers I was looking for just that and the lady brought me to cans of already made whipped cream.

OMG, for the longest time I went without whipped cream because I couldn't find it here. It was about a year-and-a-half before I figured out that whipping cream was heavy cream.

Had my first U.S. taste of Wendy's last week - yuck. It was a chicken burger and fries. Fries were undercooked (not necessarily a Wendy's phenomenon) - anyway I didn't even finish the burger.

I had some chili on the weekend from Wendy's.. it did taste similar.. was a bit runnier than I remember.. but I did LOVE Wendy's back home.. hubby won't go near there... I guess I know why now!! :)

Weird how we can have the same restaurant chain and have the food taste totally different. I find their McDonalds tastes a little bit different too.

My parents spend the winters down in Arizona and when they started to head down south for the winter I remember my mom telling me that she always made sure she packed a big bag of flour from Canada as well as a box of tea because the stuff in the US just didn't taste the same.
