Okay so I sent out my application on 09-15-08.

USCIS recieved it on 09-16-08 ( I got the return recipet thing).

I got my 1 year extension letter on 09-19-08.

I was just wondering what happens next? I'm not too sure, should I be happy? or should I be worried?

I filed it at Vermont as I live in NJ.

My green card expires on 11-30-08.

I filed the I-751 form.

My case is straight forward case..happily married and live together.

You will get a biometrics appointment that will be roughly one month from the date they received your application.

After that you wait. VSC is running a little further behind then CSC. Check the USCIS website for the dates they are currently processing. You can also find the thread on here that is dedicated to VSC and the I-751. You can compare notes with others there.

Use the NOA to renew anything you need to. If the wait goes past one year, you will need to go to an infopass appt. and have them stamp your passport.

Good luck.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

Hi iamthebest1010,

Next you get your biometrics letter about 2-3 weeks after you get your NOA, you then go for your biometrics appointment about 1 week later, then you wait.....(for about 10 months or so if you filed in Vermont).

By the way, since you're also at the VSC for the I-751, you can add your name and information to the following message thread list: "VSC I-751 Status List" (look for the last updated list on the last page), so you can see your own progress and help all VJers on this same long wait too. Thank you.: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=110056

Hope this helps. Good luck on your immigration journey.
