Ok, NVC has confirmed that they have received my petition and that they have already sent it to the Embassy down in Bogota.... now....

#1 - I am moving next week, need to change my address, called NVC they changed my address in their system but said I would have to call the Embassy down in Bogota now to update them. On the VJ US Embassy/ Consulate Info. page for Bogota, someone said that they will not talk about specific visa cases only about processes... how is this possible??? if I am calling regarding my case, they will not speak to me about it? What's the point? Can someone please clarify this??? Thanks!

#2 - Since my fiance lives in a small pueblo 45 minutes up a mountain from Medellin, we are afraid that his package will never arrive, so, does anyone know if it is possible to ask the Embassy to send his package to say an aunt's house in the city, rather than trying to send it to a pueblo up a mountain? Is that possible? Then if so, I repeat the second part of my first questions, if the Embassy won't talk about specific cases, how do I do this????

So, I'm a little confused and any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!! Thanks and best of luck to you all!!!!!

skemper,

Start out by contacting the consulate about your issues to confirm or disprove what "someone said".

If it's confirmed then followup with the question you ask here - if they won't talk to you about it, who will?

With regard to your address, it will be requested in one way or another on some of the visa application forms that your fiance has to submit, including your affidavit of support. Use the new address on those forms.
