Inside John McCain’s campaign the expectation is growing that there will be a popularity boosting pre-election wedding in Alaska between Bristol Palin, 17, and Levi Johnston, 18, her schoolmate and father of her baby. “It would be fantastic,” said a McCain insider. “You would have every TV camera there. The entire country would be watching. It would shut down the race for a week.”

She turns 18 on October 18, a respectable age for a bride.

Seems to me McCain is running scared from the Palin criticism -- he tried to delay the debates, and of course he'd want to shut down the criticism in the media over Palin.

Ain't that right conservatives? Oh wait, I guess Obama is the only one who wants to done down criticism. Yes, that's it.

18 is a respectable age for a bride??? In what decade? I think most Americans think that's WAY too young. Except for crazy Christians, who'll be voting for McCain anyway!

Switch the order of the names and you'll be right. Gov who just got a passport and isn't allowed to talk off script vs. senator with years of foreign policy experience who forgot when the great depression was. iiiiineresting

You're considered an adult at 18 in most states.

18 is too young to allow people to vote.

They're secretly smoking it, and will come out of the closet soon enough, after some media leak.

All this is, is some strenuous effort to make it look like her daughter is not having a child out of wedlock (I think the religious term is "#######") so as to appeal to the right-wing Christian base who would cheer on a chorus of Sarah Palin farts if it seemed like it were consistent with the bible. However, weren't conservatives trying to tell people to keep her daughter out of this, now she's being used for political fodder? Niiiiice.

Why? Half the members here are 60 and married to an 18 year from the Phillipines they met online. So it is too young for people here??

No gimmicks needed...Thursday, Palin will make that idjit Biden her lapdog.........After the debate McCain's polls will skyrocket!

COURIC: Why isn’t it better, Governor Palin, to spend $700 billion helping middle-class families struggling with health care, housing, gas and groceries? … Instead of helping these big financial institutions that played a role in creating this mess?

PALIN: Ultimately, what the bailout does is help those who are concerned about the health care reform that is needed to help shore up the economy– Oh, it’s got to be about job creation too. So health care reform and reducing taxes and reining in spending has got to accompany tax reductions.

Look, this woman doesn't seem to have any brains. She'll be the joke of the nation Friday morning. I sure can't wait...
