I know this sounds silly, but does everybody here keep your biometrics appointment letter after the appointment? When I went to the appointment, the officer near the door wrote something on my letter and after I got my fingure print done, I kept the letter because no one asked me to leave it. But since I haven't heard back from them since the appointment which were 2 and half month ago, I couldn't help wondering if I did something wrong--should I leave the letter to the officer?

Thank you for replying!!!

Hi Nwei,

In answer to your question, no you didn't do anything wrong by keeping your appointment letter after you had your biometrics done, as that's what you're supposed to do. Actually, I would be more surprised so if they would ask you back for that letter, as they don't do that (lol...if they did, I would ask for a copy of it back, as I need a copy of the biometrics being completed for my own records).

After one has their biometrics done, their letter is officially stamped (with the location, date, fingerprint employee's signature, type of prints done, etc.), which is the "official receipt" that the biometrics was indeed done for them. Don't throw that letter away, as this is the proof (in case anyone else from the USCIS asks too) that you have that you completed your biometrics!

Hope this helps. Good luck with your immigration journey.
