please, anybody there who knows what we can do??? am afraid it has eighter never been sent coz they forgot it, or, it is lost on the way!! nobody can tell me, to send a petition takes 4 weeks!!! i called nvc and they only told me, sorry, if u havent got a notice of us, we cant help. the service center dont know anything and dont wont to help. is there no way, to find out, what a hell happened with our petition???

should i e mail the csc? but i couldnt find any e mail address from them.....?

kor is anybkody in a same situation? are we not the only ones? i would be already happy if i would know, they received it at least!

please, what can we do????

I am sorry to hear this..this is unusual. I would think it is at the NVC, maybe they have not gotton to it yet. Mine took 20 days to reach NVC and assigned case #. keep calling NVC. good luck to you.

Im sorry you are so stressed, completely understandable. I have seen many posts in the past where it has taken 3-4 weeks for petitions between CSC and NVC.....and then it can take a little while for NVC to acknowledge receipt of it. Give it another week and if you havent heard anything, call or email your congressman. There has been petitions in the past that have been forwarded to the wrong department (Mellie comes to mind) and been extremely difficult to trace.......there was even a whole batch that mistakenly got sent to archives from NSC Im not saying this to worry you more.....but to advise you to stay on top of it. Keep calm, as I wouldnt be surprised if it shows up within NVC over the next week.

i guess we got no other chance then to wait for now, as anyway they wont work for the next couple of days.. does the csc has no e mail address at all? or should we write to them a registred letter and ask where they ve sent it, if they did??? well, i wonder if they got any idea or records on how they ve sent, or if it went to the wrong place..

i just wonder.. what, if our petition is realy LOST??? do we have to start again from zero?? well i can reply this myself...NO NO NO. i would just get still a flight, go over there, and marry. and i would give a s... if its officialy ill.... or not. i dont understand, why , when people try to do it on a strait and right way, they have to go through so much s....

thank you very much for your help, billy! i ve aleady sent them a mail, i only hope somebody is willing to help us.... well, anyway, have to wait now up to thuesday... i even wanted to see if its possible to make a appointment with the next sub office of the area.. well, seems its not possible just to call them, no, you have to go there personaly, only to ask about what happened....that would mean, a 4 hours drive for a question.. crazy...

Sorry Jedi, but needs to also be said. The horror stories I mention are freely available on here in their own threads. Stuff ups do happen (whilst rare in these instances), and if people are not aware of them, how are they going to be responsible for their own case and know what to do from others experiences if they are not aware of them. Knowledge is power. All of the cases I mentioned also all worked out just fine.

Stuff ups do happen (whilst rare in these instances), and if people are not aware of them, how are they going to be responsible for their own case and know what to do from others experiences if they are not aware of them. u sayed if we wont hear anyting after 1 week, we should e mail or call our congressman. my fiance told me, they wont help, only special people.... like rich or so....money talks...

do u know how those, who s petition was not found anymore or sent to a wrong place, how they found them again, and how long it took them? do u think sending csc a e mail will make them to find it out?

What I am saying is to stay on top of things....emailing service center, calling NVC. If you get no answers, yes contact your congressman and have him ask the questions for you. Just dont let the not knowing go on & on for weeks on end. A month is still within the range though.....once its getting to 5-6 weeks then start jumping up and down. Melo is another member who's petition recently went walkabout.

And congressman will ask the questions. You may not always get the answers you want, but they will ask when it warrants the asking.

Please try not to stress at this stage. That wasnt my intention to cause you more worry. Give it just a little more time. From memory, I think they do give a time frame when petitions are forwarded to NVC, just cant remember what that is right now.

As far as what the USCIS CSC sent in the email NOA2 Approval Notice, it references 30 days.

"If 30 days have passed and you have not received this notice, you may wish to verify or update your address. To update your address, please speak to an Immigration Information Officer during business hours."

The actual hardcopy NOA2 reads "If it has been more than four weeks since you received this approval notice and you have not received notification from NVC that your petition has been forwarded overseas, please call NVC at (603) 334-0700."

goldie - by the time NVC admitted they'd got ours they'd already sent it to London!

It took over 2 weeks - and I think they actually had it the whole time they said they didn't - as according to them it spent one DAY there before they forwarded it. Try not to stress - if it DOES continue then following the advice above is a good move.
