Hey everyone,

In reading some of the threads I see a lot of people went with their SO for the interview. Do you actually meet with the USCIS officer too, or do you just sit in waiting area and wait. If so, is it a good idea to go down for the interview or just wait?

we recommend that u go to the interview with ur SO. We have seen lately that they r requesting the petitioner to come in, if something wasn't clear or if they have questions for u.

yes u do speak with the officer even if its to verify ur name

Congrats on your approval! You zipped through. In my opinion, it's better to go to the interview if you are able to go. I know there are members where they were interviewed more than their SO - I just think that it is better to be there if you can be - As Kimmi said, there are members who had to go back for a second interview bc their SO wasn't there for the first.

Ok, Thank you! I'll plan on that...

Hey everyone,

My SO went by himself, and they ended up giving him a blue slip for a second interview and he was to bring me.

However, you do a lot of waiting in several different areas then when it's your turn, you walk up to a window in the waiting area were you will be asked questions individually. You speak through a phone to prevent your SO from hearing your answers to the questions.

The officer asked me questions, and typed my answers then asked him the same questions to compare our answers.
