Hello everyone, my case was sent to Islamabad more than a week ago. Due to the security situation the embassy closed down for a few days and am not expecting to get my packet 3 for a while.

I want to get together all the documents and forms and send them out without waiting for the packet 3. Any help in this regard would be great!!

Can someone let me know exactly what is in the packet 3 and what exactly we need to send out? The website says I need to send the following for an non-immigrant visa: (I'm applying for a K3):

Applicants are required to submit the following items through an American Express/Speed Ex service provider:

* Completed DS-156 Electronic Visa Application Form (http://evisaforms.state.gov)

* Completed DS-157 Form (http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/forms/forms_1342.html)

* Current photo (within the last 6 months) measuring 2" x 2" with white background – please ensure your photo has not been retouched or altered, otherwise your photo may not be accepted into the system and you will be asked to bring a different un-retouched photo.

* Passport valid for at least 6 months beyond your planned date of entry into the U.S.

* Visa application fee of US$131 or Pakistani Rupee equivalent

Is this correct? Any changes or anything that doesn't apply to me? Also do I need to send form DS-156K? And can't I send a copy of the passport?

Thanks guys!

Salam!

Dear the US embassy in isamabad were closed only for 25th & 26th Septemer,08.Now they r open.

Packet 3 will have the require documents list.

Like, Ds 156 ,Ds 156k,Marraige certificate(English,Urdu)Pics,Police certificate,Passport bio graphic page copy,Birth certificate (English,Urdu).

I think you will have to send the copy of passport not orignal.and Ds 157 is not require for you to send.

Well when u get your packet 3 you will have all required documents list till than you can get your police certificate.
