Would it make sense - if you intend to make this a Tab - to eliminate existing tabs (except 'Home') altogether? Or create a Tab that has a drop-down menu?

Hi Captain Ewok,

Yes, that's definitely a good idea to put on the VJ website! It sure makes it easier for new members of VJ to find things, indeed. Keep up the good work, Captain Ewok!

By the way, for the "Share Experience" section (and on the VJ website too), can you consider adding, a "Citizenship (interview and oath ceremony)" section too, as I'm sure all VJers would like to post and read about those experiences as well. Thanks.

Also, can you consider on VJ adding for "Processing times/Statistics" for the I-751 (Removal of Conditions), as apparently there isn't one for that currently on VJ, and is an important step in the immigration process too. Thanks.

I was thinking it would be nice to add a couple fields in the time lines.

1. Was an attorney used

2. Name of the Attorney.

We should have a way to track if a lawyer actually hurts or helps the speed of the process. Also, people should be aware of lawyers that aren't doing their job before they hire them. And if a particualr lawyer does it right, people should know about that as well. Right now people just say "My attorney sucks!" Would be nice if we could compare data.

Any thoughts?

Also, maybe for IR-1/CR-1 time lines, Were Jame's or Loto's shortcuts utilized?

Note:

Please fill out I-130, wait 6 months for approval, then 3 more months for an interview. (Unless of course we've bombed your country into the stone age, then you qualify for expedited processing.)

I think the appropriate new tab for this page would say "VJ Content Map" or "VJ Road Map".

I was thinking "content map" is more appropriate, because "road map" could mean a guide, of which there are many.

Regardless, I think however it's linked, it's a great addition.

AOS & getting the SSN & the I-693

6/13/08 Applied for SSN for David ----- TRIP 1; 6/23/08 Went back to SSA 'cuz the person didn't pc all documents (rec'd letter from them) ----- TRIP 2

7/2/08 Received David's health insurance cards! Yay!

7/3/08 Went back to SSA; they said come back 7/9 if he still hasn't received it ----- TRIP 3

7/8/08 Got list of vaccines he still needed from CS by fax/phone; tested for immunity to MMR (only vaccine still needed) at our family dr

7/9 & 7/10/08 Went back to SSA, card still not received - Denied opportunity to apply for replacement ----- TRIP 4; Went back to SSA again to apply for a replacement card - Talked to a supervisor this time, POE people entered his last name incorrectly ----- TRIP 5; went to get David's ID thru the State, denied - instructions wrong on website; measles test inconclusive, another test needed; requested new lease

7/14/08 SSA called me in regards to problems at local SSA office

7/15/08 INFOPASS appt to fix POE name input error and then went to airport to fix POE name error

7/17/08 Received SSN card in mail and went to get state ID

7/21/08 State ID received in the mail and tested again for measles immunity

7/29/08 MMR shot #2 given and dropped off papers at Civil Surgeon (CS)

7/31/08 Picked up I-693, completed by local CS, (I paid $25, don't be fooled)

8/3 - 8/6/08 Worked on forms I-485, G-325A, I-864, I-765 and I-131; sent to Chicago - YESSS!

8/11/08 NOA1 for AOS, EAD and AP; 9/2/08 Transfered to CSC; 9/4/08 Biometrics

Another suggestion: Put a link to this on the home page for sure. And maybe somewhere else as well. The newbies probably start on the homepage and when I started on VJ, I found this page to be the most un-helpful... (Sorry, but truthful. I to this day never go to the homepage because there's nothing important for me there.)

Thanks for the link about the timelines for the I-751 Removal of Conditions, which is useful as well.

However, I meant something specific in addition to the timelines, more lso ike this for the "Removal of Conditons" (and maybe "Citizenship" too) as in "Processing Times Statistics", showing the average number of days and chart/graph: http

I agree and you are right. Even I tend to skip the front page (shamefully admit!). I added the link there as well since your suggestion makes great sense. If you or anyone else has ideas on how to improve the front page I am completely open to them!
