Congrats to you both!!!

Thanks, I'll check that out. There is no JetBlue in JA though, right? So he would mostlike like need two flights booked. One airline carrier from MoBay to JFK then JetBlue to SFO.

We had our 2nd interview on Wednesday 9/24. We both went up to the window (after sitting forever and a day) and the lady behind the counter swore us in, that everything we were about to answer in the interview would be true. She then asked my S.O. to sign his name by the "X" on the paperwork and write my name by the"O" . My fiance who had been previously calm said he was so nervous once we reached the window, that he almost forgot how to spell my name. She then asked him to sit while she asked me a few questions, which were:

When did I arrive in Jamaica

Who picked me up

Did I go out to dinner and or what I eat when I got there

How often do I come to Jamica

Where do I stay when I come to Jamica

How did we meet

When did we meet

How often we talk on the phone

Do we assist each other with money when needed (looking at our money grams and western union receipts)

She asked my S.O. pretty much the same questions, without me present. Then she told him she wished him good luck in the United States and gave him his Pink Slip and instructions on going to airpack to courier the visa! My S.O was so excited and nervous his hands were shaking.

I have a few qustions, if anyone knows answers please let me know.

1) Can he fly here on a one way ticket since this is a K1 visa and not a visitors visa?

2) Does it normally take the whole two weeks to receive the visa by courier or is it sooner in most cases?

3) Should he get a stamp in his passport at the airport saying it's ok for him to work or will we need apply for that separately?

Thanks to you all on visa journey! You've been a great help to me on my Journey.:dance::dance:

Gooden, I'm so happy for you. Told you it would work out. Give me a link when you get a chance. I have a few friends leaving from Grange Hill, Westmoreland on Saturday to live in the states. You SO may know some of them.

Thanks for your support. Yes, he says he knows everyone in Grange Hill, so he'd be excited to know who else will be in the U.S. soon. I'll drop you an e-mail.

No Jetblue in JA, sadly - But Air JA, American, and Delta all fly direct - try farecompare.com - I just flew home from JA direct on AA - My one way ticket was $147 -

Yes, I normally travel on AA. They do have flights to JFK, but they all arrive at 9:30 p.m. and leave at either 7:30 a.m. or 9:00. My S.O said that to save money and get the work permit he didn't mind the stay over in the airport, he can watch movies on my DVD through the night.

CONGRATS,

WISH YOU BOTH ALL THE BEST. WHERE DID YOU STAY? IF YOU DON'T MIND ME ASKING

FORBES

It was a rushed trip. I got to MoBay on Monday at 8:00 p.m. Got to Grange Hill where my S.O. lives at 9:30p.m. eat, tried to sleep but talked much of the night. Left at 3:00 am by car driven way toooooo fast by my S.O.'s friend, but good thing we left early got pulled over in a road block and then pulled over again for going about 150 when the speed limit is 110 on those little windy roads! (saw the sign with my own eyes) Made it alive at the Ebassy at 6:00 a.m. for our 7:00 a.m appointment.

Wow! That is good timing - to Kingston in 3 hours.

Congrats!!
