I've been reading posts here on VJ stating you need to retake the HIV/Siphillis tests for AOS if they were originally done more than a month ago.????

Can anyone shed some light on this for me please. My fiancee's K1 physical in Manila was on June 4, 2008, so I understand she will need to get the TB skin test at the Civil Surgeon. That is well stated in the new I-693 instructions.

The PROBLEM is I can not find anything stating she needs to retake her HIV or Siphillis tests, yet people are posting that the Civil Surgeon for the AOS are sometimes making them retake the HIV/Siphillis???

as to what it says at the USCIS site..

those who've had their medical exam before june 1, 2008..

they don't need take the new vaccination and the TB test..

then those who've had their medical exam between june 1 - july 31, 2008..

they need to take the TB test, but don't need to get the new vaccination...

and those who've had their medical exam on or after august 1, 2008..

they need to take the TB test and new vaccination requirement if age appropriate..

goodluck! ;)
