Ok guys, Im confused. We received the RFE letter and in it, it talked about our RFE (ds230) part 1 question 20. It also talked about police cirts for every place she lived from the age 16. My wife got just a NBI clearance so should she be ok or does she need to get one from everyplace she lived in the Philippines?

Also USEM is going to take care of her RFE so is she going to need to have police cirts or not. We are a little confused. Thanks guys.

Got to love the fact my wife was preggy and even with a RFE @ NVC she was still here in under 5 months!

she doesn't need a Police Certificate from every place in the Phils. that she has been. if your wife hasn't been out of the country she only needs her NBI Clearance, no need for Police Certificates. Police Certificates are only for those who have stayed outside the Philippines for more than 6 months...

Thats what we though, she was outside the phils for 6 months...2 months then came back home then went back for 4 months to Brunei. The RFE letter says more then 12 months outside her home country then she needs a police clearance. Our RFE had to do with not putting 'present' on question 20 and they are talking about police clearance that is what is confusing us.

In my husband's case, we sent 2 police certificates plus NBI clearance as well. In my understanding, we need to send police certificates if we stayed in one place for more than 6 months.. even locally. In our case, my husband stayed in Davao until he was 22 years old and stayed 5 years in Cebu. So I asked him to get 2 police certificates to these 2 places. We sent it to NVC and so far we did not receive any RFE.
