We currently live in South Bend, IN, and will have biometrics next week in Hammond, IN which is about an hour away.

Question 1: If we do end up having an interview, is it generally at the same place as the biometrics, or a different office entirely?

Question 2: If the interview will not be at the biometrics location, I am wondering if they will send us to Chicago (about 1.5 hours away) or Indianapolis (not sure exactly how far, but maybe 3 hours or so - definitely much further than Chicago). In other words, would they make us have an interview in Indiana, even if the location is further away than a city out of state?

Hopefully we don't have an interview at all, but just in case, I am wondering if anyone else has been in a similar situation.

Thanks!

For what I know, USCIS will state the service center location in their notification.

Well I just came across a vj member from Goshen, IN, which is about 30 minutes from where we live. They had their interview in Indianapolis, which is bad news for us. I guess the location is not based on proximity, but instead on state. Let's hope that we get transferred to CSC.

  • 3 weeks later...
Filed: AOS (apr) Country: Albania
Timeline

We had the biometrics in the town we live in, but had to drive 1 1/2 hours to the interview. It probably depends on how big of town you live in and how many people they process.
