Hey everyone :)

I woke up this morning with my wireless router incognito. I tried everything, called tech support, they had me do a bunch of things (change outlets, flip the switch on and off, test outlets, turn things on and off) took a freaking hour and nothing. Finally I was told I needed to get a new one.

Then my husband wakes up, flips on the darned thing and *poof* internet.

It has already been a long day.

You didn't just switch to Vista by any chance did you?? I have wierd connection issues ever since. It drives me crazy because I troubleshoot with Dell and they dont know, I troubleshoot with Comcast, same thing. Then I discovered on a Microsoft forum that others with MS Vista have the same exact issue. Anyway, if you dont have Vista, then disregard all that

Hi everyone hope your weekend is going fine

i went to the drs tonight

so i do have gallstones, and many many of them. the dr did an ultrasound and said my gallbladder is full of little ones and he said the small ones worry him worse then the big ones because the little ones tend to move and get stuck in ducts. he said i need my gallbladder out. he gave me some meds for discomfort and indigestion and told me to watch my diet until i have surgery.

he also said that it will cost at least 6,000 dollars if i do it here since we dont have insurance. so he told me he feels i should go back to ny and have it done and get the care i need.

when george gets back from the pharmacy we will discuss whats going to happen, because he is trying to cut costs but seriously i cant live in this pain anymore.

i havent been able to eat anything since Wed except a few bites of rice and a few bites of boiled potato and it isnt digesting, its just sitting there. accck.

so when i know whats going on as far as travel and surgery i will let everyone know.

Jess, let us know the updates, you poor thing to fly in pain and sick, if you have to fly back to America, make sure they knock you out good, I can't imagine having pain like that in the middle of the air. Hang in there, but please let us know.

I hope everyone who's sick gets better soon. Jess that's a bummer that it costs so much. They don't have freecare in Saudi? I mean even if you didn't have insurance here in the states you could go to the ER and by law they can't deny you service due to lack of insurance. I guess the decision is which is cheaper, the roundtrip flight to NY or the surgery in Saudi. Good luck!

Brought my kitty cat to the vet for her annual checkup today and apparently she has arthritis in her hips. She also has been throwing up every day for the past month so we've changed her diet to the expensive stuff they sell at the vets. I need advice though..........she rarely eats wet food so I bought two cans of the good stuff at the vets and OMG it reaks sooooo bad!!!! Anyhoo I split one of her arthritis capsules open and mixed it in but she's not eating it. (and I don't blame her!!) What else can I do? Should I force the capsule down her throat? :help:

You all should have seen the look on my husband's face when they told me I owe them $178 for the visit, shots, food and pills. When we were in the office I asked the vet to cut her nails and he said it would cost us $22 for him to do it. Hubby gave him the *look* that could freeze a pot of boiling water and said he'll do it himself. He kept putting the food back on the shelf while we were waiting to be checked out and I kept taking it off. Luckily for my kitty I have a worse *look* than he has. hehehe. I did tell him though that I have a financial limit and if she needed anything over $300 then she will be SOL like the cats in Cairo.

I hate this working late on a Saturday stuff. :( I'm bored and there's nothing on tv and I feel like I'm cheating on him if I watch one of our netflix dvd's without him. :crying:

I usually have to throw the pill into my cats mouth with a little water and then hold their mouth shut. I tried all the nice ways and it never worked so I stopped messing around. Now, if they are young enough and there is a wet food they like you can break up the pill in there, but if they are older and don't eat much wet food then you gotta do it the mean way. Sometimes they get smart though and act like they swollowed, but they just hide the pill and spit it out once you walk away. These are the cats I really have to fight  My grandmother had some luck with putting butter on pills and getting her cats to swollow that. It just didn't work for me because the cats just licked the butter off and didn't take the pill.

Here is a nice, funny, kitty video to watch. You'll probably recognize some of the pics in it, but it is too funny.

When my cat needs to take pills (we went thru this recently when he had surgery), I have to get on the floor and put him in the "inescapable" hold (meaning positioning him where he can't back out or squeeze out b/t my legs), bring my left hand behind his head to hold his mouth open, pop the pill in as far as I can, then hold his mouth shut while stroking his neck to make sure he swallows. I then treat him to his favorite wet food - Meow Mix Market Select. Yeah, it's a little stinky, but he's worth it. Good luck!

Hi everybody! I didn't have time to read all of the previous posts, but Jess, I hope you feel better lady. I had my gallbladder out about 10 years ago and stay away from fatty stuff until its out even if you feel better. Milk, cheese and peanut butter would throw me into a fit. I pray that you get some relief soon.

Amal, read that you aren't feeling well, hope that you feel better soon.

Bridget, have you tried like a tiny piece of cheese? My cat will sometimes try that or tuna. Other than that you will probably have to man handle her.

Kelly and Sara, cute pics!!

Everybody else have a great evening and take care!
