I can not beleive it. 2 weeks ago I sent a email to someone at the NVC that is in charge of the cases for the Philippines. My letter asked not for a expidite but just if we could get a early interview due to my wife being pregant and due the end of January. Well on monday I found out we had a RFE on the DS230 question 20. I just received the hard copy and called the NVC and found out that the request for a expidite was approved and on Monday our case will be fowarded to USEM and they will handle the RFE!

Can you beleive it, the nvc will expidite cases due to pregancy. I stated that we was on track to be approved this month and if they didnt get a interview in the early part of december that no airlines would let her fly till after the baby is a few months old and then also when dealing with a birth abroad that can take a few more months...holy ($ we are in a state of shock that they would approve us for a expidite!

This can be valuable information for others who may be in the same situation.

I LOVE THE NVC!

Thats fantastic! I love hearing good news. :)

And congrats on the baby

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

I've seen others try the same thing and fail. You should count your blessings on that decision.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

Here is a copy of the letter I sent if anyone would care to read it...even with my bad spelling and grammer I must of made a good point or impression.

My wife is currently pregnant with our first child and based on the speed that our I-130 was approved and the speed at which you fine people are working on your sometimes overwhelming case loads, I see the possibility of getting our case complete far ahead of what we could ever imagine.  Based on the research I have done to get our case this far, I have found that the US Embassy in Manila is usually booked out about 2 months in advanced. For my wife and I, before we ever started this process, we knew we wanted to start a family together as soon as possible with the full understanding that a CR1 visa would take around 10 to 12 months. Due to the speed at which the USCIS and the NVC are moving we see the possibility of being done with everything in December. I am asking if there is any way we can put in a request to get the earliest interview possible, early December maybe even the end of November, barring all of our remaining paperwork is in order (DS230). As I stated, my wife is currently pregnant with a projected due date from her last exam of February 6, 2009 and a on line calculation of January 27, 2009. As per airlines policy most wont allow a pregnant woman fly about 4-6weeks prior to her due date. A quick calculation shows that if we was to get a early interview date and we had no issues with our documentation, my wife could be here about 1 ½ months before her due date. As we researched the implications our having a child we knew the that after the baby was born, we would have to file for a birth abroad and also file for a US passport for our child. This process can take from 1-2 months and most airlines will not let a child under the age of 3 months fly. Also to compound this issue the paperwork in the Philippines moves at a snail pace and sometimes it can several months to get a official birth certificate. As you can see if we could get a early interview date, we could avoid this un-lengthy delay.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I am including a attachment of my wifes last obgyn appointment.

Hey! Congratulations! That is such incredibly wonderful news and wonderful news too about the baby ! I think your letter was well stated- very positive and instead of griping and complaining you worded it in such a way that obviously worked to your advantage. I'm happy for the both of you. Soon you and your wife will be together and you both can settle in and enjoy your new life together and enjoy the new little one that will soon arrive. It makes me really happy to see others closing this chapter and moving onto the next adventure! Best wishes to all of you- I hope you have a long and happy and beautifully blessed life together.
