My SO believes that cooking is over rated, and that eatting out is great, he neverrrr cooks a thing now. He wasn't like this in his home country, he believed eatting at home was fresher, cleaner and even cooked or helped prepare daily meals.

My husband cooks almost exclusively in our house. He's the better cook and his hours are better for it. If I cook twice a month, I would be surprised.

I'm not complaining.

I am the cook in our house.

Hubby does do the grilling though.

We pretty equally share the duties, so I didn't vote. Right now, because P's not working, he does most of the cooking.

My hubby cooks all the time. I have never cooked since I have met him. You don't want me to be in the kitchen, I am a walking disaster! lol I hurt myself with anything.

Gigii, have you tried telling him that you'd love for him to cook?

I do 95% of the cooking, but there are days that nothing will do but my hubby's grilled cheese sandwiches!

wife does the cooking and we are both better off for it. I do make decent pasta dishes, chocolate chip pancakes, and grilled cheese sandwiches.

Funny thing is, I used to want to cook more. He started to come in the kitchen and tell me what I was doing wrong. I put the knife down and walked out telling him then he could do the cooking. After doing it a few times, I stopped volunteering to cook.

I don't really miss it.

I'd say we're fairly close to 50/50, maybe him doing a little bit more, because when he's home from work (working out of town a lot) he usually has little else to do. So he'll make homemade ravioli and pierogi and bread.

At a minimum he tends to be the prep chef most nights, even if I end up seasoning and cooking the meal. Both of us enjoy cooking.

Other/ Neither : 50%-50% shared. Justin's a great cook, he can make sushi, spring rolls, bbq (of course!) and lots of other yummy recipes. He has this recipe for slowed cooked chicken on a beer based sauce that is to die for! :D

Saludos,

Caro

I work 6/7 evenings a week, so never cook. Hubby will cook for himself.

And I don't get home from work until 8:30-9:30pm, so it's usually a Hardees/White Castle/McDonald's/Taco Bell night for me. Can't figure out why I've gotten so fat lately.....

Even on the days we have off together, neither Mags or I cook; as in cook a meal for the whole family. Her schedule is all wacked, so I'm getting ready for lunch while she's eating breakfast. The only time we eat together these days is if we go out. That's been happening less and less too, thanks to the wonderful economy.

On the plus side, I've discovered the joy of Trader Joe's. Best grocery store ever! All kinds of foods with no ####### - no HFCS, no artificial flavours/colours, etc. Not *too* expensive, either.

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.
