Hi guys, I'm trying to research ahead for what will happen after the NOA2 is generated for the K1 visa and I'm confused about the NVC process. So after a week or so you can call the auto attendant at the NVC and type in your receipt #? If it's been entered, it will then tell you what your NVC case # is? Then what happens? Does the NVC send anything to the petitioner or beneficiary or does the beneficiary receive something (packets) from the consulate only? Also the auto attendant will tell you when it gets forwarded to the consulate? How do you know when it arrives at the consulate? Do you have to call the embassy?

Thanks =)

- K1 visa cases are never registered with the NVC's IVR, you will have to talk with a live rep to get your case #.

- Once they assign a case number, they will forward it to the corresponding embassy.

- The embassy should be sending the beneficiary packet 3 and then packet 4.

- Since the case is not registered in the IVR, the live agent should be able to tell you when it will be sent to the embassy.

- You can call the embassy to find out if they received it.

Good luck!
