Hi everyone! Here is all I know so far. He had his interview and they kept all of our papers (hubby said) but they want more proof of my income. I emailed the consolate this morning (I fell asleep at 1am and woke up at 7:30am) to ask what other document they want because I sent them 2005-2006-2007 tax returns. I make over 100,000 a year so it can't be I don't make enough money. I am wondering if hubby misunderstood them. Wish I stayed awake to get his call in person :(

It is so frustrating when you can't be there to find out first hand what is needed.

Did you have a letter from your place of employement?

I own the business LOL. My husband told them that too and they have my taxes from the last 3 years. But the lady (a blonde) told him my tax returns are not enough they need statements from my bank too for 2007. I am waiting the response from casa in my email to be sure of what they want. I can send the doc's to a friend that will go to casa this week so they get them FAST LOL

Oh yes, I can see now why they are looking for more since you are self employed. A bank record that will back up your claim of income should be sufficient. But just curious, did you send copies of your prepared taxes or statements from the IRS? I have heard some people will fudge a return to give the appearance of either making more or less than they would want you to know. But in most cases a person would not fudge the actual return if it indeed would mean paying higher taxes.

I am assuming the blonde lady is the one that everyone here has complained about. At least if she is willing to look at your evidence it means that she is not planning on a denial. Soon we can celebrate your approval.

I sent my schedule C's from the last 3 years signed by my CPA but you may be correct about that. What shall I send them as proof? And thanks for the optimistic  My hubby is still so calm and sweet...he will get online as soon as he returns home so we can discuss. He went to a cyber in casa to scan the form and send it to me. He's a rock hahaha

I think they might be looking for IRS transcripts of your filings. Just call IRS and they can fax these over to you same day.

I Just got the response from CASA they said because my 2007 tax return shows my adjusted income as $3000 (I have a business and a good cpa) I need a sponsor. I am not sure what to do now. Hmmmmmmm I might be in a pickle. I make alot of $$$$ at my business, own a home etc......but I do get creative with my write offs for tax purposes (obviously) and have a good cpa to assist in this. I did not think Casa would not take those things into concideration.......any advise on how to turn this around? I will contact my cpa also but?
