I love my husband and cannot wait to see him but i have some jitters about him being here. It's just been me and my daughter for three years now. I know there will be an adjustment period but i am just a little nervous about it. Don't get me wrong i am happy to have my husband here, just a little nervous though. Anyone else?

I think you will be just fine. It is an adjustment period but after you get all of the nervous first reunion at the airport out of the way, you will be sooooo happy. We haven't been able to exactly live together yet except for a few months at a time and every time he visits I feel so nervous like a little kid again. After the initial anxiety, we were just fine. I am so excited for you. Cheers!

Completely normal. I'd actually worry if you didn't feel this way.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

I am worried about what is my husband going to do with himself until he finds a job... In Nepal he has his whole family around him for company and when he comes here it will just be me and my roommate. We are in a small city apartment so it's not like he can putter around the house, do yardwork, etc. to fill time and watching TV gets kinda old I would imagine.

ETA: I am used to being by myself most of the time so it will also be an adjustment for me, usually at home I am working on my eBay business or blogging or reading a book....Gotta find some things we can do together esp at winter besides the obvious.... ;):lol:

Well I am nervous too, been 4 years to marriage and its finally hitting me that may be this year we will start living together. Apart from the usual jitters of adjusting to a whole new environment and trying to snatch a decent job for myself, I am worried about small things too. Like for instance out here from where I am in India, we get free medical facility but it won't be the same in USA and how much of a burden I would be on my husband at start.

Then I got to worry about the time when we decide to have a family, again in India, you get your relatives to help you out, taking care of your child or you can get someone to help you by paying them a minimal amount, but in USA it will be only me and hubby, his relatives live far off to help me out and I doubt we will be able to afford outside help, so it will be me giving up any job if I have and I don't really want to do it.

I think right now, its a bitter sweet moment I am going throgh, I am excited about him coming over for the interview and going through the Visa process but then I am also sad that I will be leaving my place which I love so dearly, my dad, my brother, my grandma. Especially my grandma, she is getting older by the day, don't even know when will I see her next if ever.

Well that's life and you just have to go with the flow.

trust me Mrs Rowe, i know exactly how you feel. it even gives me butterflies in my stomach when i think of finally touching down at the POE and just being able to be in my husbands arms. there will be adjustments to do, thats normal, but you'll be fine. soon all these will be over and youll be very happy. good luck , youre always in my prayers.

Same for all of us who have been single for awhile.

We ate what we wanted to eat.

Went to bed when we wanted to.

Watched what we wanted to.

Kept the room temperature what we wanted to.

Went or didn't go shopping any time we wanted to.

Lived without additional noices like a door shutting or dishes banging.

Things changed a LOT when my wife and 7 year old stepdaughter arrived.

Mostly all positive tho!

Don't care for Sesame Street tho.

or bloody panties in the sink!

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!
