If Obama tried to boost his foreign policy credentials by saying something as stupid as "Alaska is next to Russia", or meeting world leaders behind closed doors, followed by a photo-op in which he said nothing and withdrew before answering any questions, I'm pretty sure we'd have a few members here who'd include the vids in their signature.

This woman is a mistake and an embarrassment for McCain. Can we get some concensus on that, at least?

I would be surprised if the VP debate gets cancelled. The Dems will fight for that one, rightly so. How difficult is it to get two people together and throw a camera and spotlight on 'em?

That's what I want to know. Are you telling me that after all their hard work in the bailout proceedings (cough), they can't find someplace in Washington DC, with the facility to put two candidates, a moderator and a camera together and ask a few questions? Jeez louise....

They're trying to control Palin's image - and keep the post RNC "buzz" about her go on as long as possible. It does say something to me that she doesn't want to do many TV interviews - none of the ones she's done were particularly searching IMO.
