McCain Camp insiders say Palin "clueless"

Capitol Hill sources are telling me that senior McCain people are more than concerned about Palin. The campaign has held a mock debate and a mock press conference; both are being described as "disastrous." One senior McCain aide was quoted as saying, "What are we going to do?" The McCain people want to move this first debate to some later, undetermined date, possibly never. People on the inside are saying the Alaska Governor is "clueless."

Well if last time was any indication - being bad at live debate isn't a barrier to success. Even though GWB came across like a stuttering ape who had barely learned to strike steel against flint and make fire - he was still able to win the election.

I rather doubt anyone could be as bad as GWB was at the last presidential debates (even with the wire he was obviously wearing).

That would be funny... yet to add to the drama I hope Obama shows up with a whiteboard or a tape recorder or something to have a mock debate on TV. If McCain plays on cold feet, that is. Some Presidential quality indeed.

Well, perhaps they can try to hold out on this crisis a little longer and blame the Democrats in the process. Although as of this morning, the first round of stalls came from Republicans whining about something. Hilarious indeed.

I think Obama should show up at least. TV cameras would capture everything without a word said. He went to Washington and plans on showing up to debate as agreed.
