Maby it was a weird dot com kinda thing. Anyhow, I think we can say with certaintly that compensation policy is not typically anounced on the fly at offsites at most companies.

June 06, 2005 SSN Received

June 11, 2005 Driver Licence Issued!

June 20, 2005 Deb gets a Check Card! Just like Donald Trump's!

Citizenship

Jan 30, 2008 N400 Mailed off to the VSC!

Feb 2, 2008 N400 Received at VSC

Feb 6, 2008 Check Cashed!

Feb 13, 2008 NOA1 Received

Feb 15, 2008 Fingerprint letter received. (Feb 26th scheduled)

Feb 18, 2008 Mailed out the old Please Reschedule us for Biometics <sigh>...

Feb 27, 2008 Received the new scheduled biometrics.

Mar 15, 2008 Biometrics Rescheduled.

Sep 18, 2008 Interview Letter Recieved.

Nov 11, 2008 Interview Passed :-).

Nov 14, 2008 Oath Cerimony.

Abby, I know it's no consolation to say 'don't worry', but really, it's out of your control....unfortunately.

Things at my place of employment have been slow for a year. The boss is constantly rattling his pocketbook and crying poor. He has mentioned cutting hours or letting people go before, and I am the part-timer with the least amount of seniority...and an AOS interview 4 weeks away.

So in other words I know how ya feel.

Ha! To celebrate earning announcement? I would not count on it. Sorry to be so negative, but after so many layoffs I know *their* ways.

09-02-2005 Applications for AOS, EAD, and AP received by MSC

10-21-2005 AOS fingerprint notice for 12-08-2005

11-07-2005 AP approved

12-05-2005 Infopass appt at San Jose office for interim EAD -- Refused, because it is already approved by MSC on 11-07-2005

12-07-2005 Attempt at interim EAD at San Francisco office -- no go. Back to San Jose, where CSO (chief station officer) tells they will contact MSC via email to request permission to issue interim EAD

12-08-2005 Biometrics for AOS and EAD. Having no EAD appt letter was no problem (used EAD NOA)

12-15-2005 EAD arrived in the mail

12-24-2005 Received interview letter; interview scheduled 03-01-2006

01-28-2006 Received replacement SSN card in married name (5 wks since application)

03-01-2006 AOS interview -- approved; received stamp in the passport

03-13-2006 Green card arrived in the mail

Thanks, everyone.

I'm just trying to be chill--I came home and had a bath, talked to Ewen, put some stuff on eBay...just hoping everything will be okay. I mean, even if it's bad news, they're not going to do a mass firing on the spot.

The division of the company that I work for is being sold; it's already public information. But the divestiture is expected to take a number of months, and no changes will be happening until then, and maybe not even then.

So everything is okay, at least for now.

Feb 28/2011 - sent paperwork

Mar 3/11 - received text & email notification - they have it!

Mar 15/11 - text, email, and notice sent - biometrics booked

April 12/11 - biometrics done - I start studying

May - get the letter

June 27 - Interview and oath ceremony - same day

Lifting Conditions

Feb 5/08 - Sent paperwork by USPS - priority

Feb 14/08 - NOA issued

Feb 28/08 - Biometrics letter received for The Bronx Office - have to reschedule

Mar 22/08 - Biometrics rescheduled - LOVE the Saturday appointment!

Feb ?/09 - done!
