Hello,

My brother (and sister) is a citizen of the U.S. ... I used to live in America until I decided to move to Canada (after marrying a Canadian wife).

I'm a Permanent Resident of Canada and a citizen of Pakistan. My infant daughter is a born U.S. citizen and my wife is a Canadian.

Now, my brother is filing an i-130 petition for alien relative for me. My question is, when my visa number comes, does my case get processed in Canada or does it get processed in Pakistan? If it gets processed in Pakistan, I don't live there! So how would that work?

I know it takes an extremely long time to get a greencard this way but time flies and I'd rather have the option to move to the U.S. after 8-10 years just in case.

Any advice or tips would be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Case gets processed where you reside, even though you are not Canadian. Have in mind that (from what I've read here and in some other places) your waiting time can be long because of your country of citizenship.

Don't let the choices chose you, chose the choices that you want.
