Husband put in for the tourist visa for holiday to spend here with me, I think he is concerned, but that is awesome news, means I get to not fly for this time. Just hope they give it to us, since with all the economy problems, at least his money is in Arab banks. lol

I ammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm so freaking happy, I hate when I have to fly, so keep your thoughts positive, he will have to go back but at least he can come home for a break.

Oh GG, that would be so wonderful!

I so hope he comes here! I feel our pain so much. 12 months after interview and not much to report yet. I hope he has a good journey and that you enjoy every moment together.

BTW, I miss you GG, and always thinking of you :).

Wow I thought they couldn't enter using a tourist visa while a case was pending. Shoot, then Ibrahim can fly home? And I didn't know this?

Wow! This is monumental news! He has a 5 year tourist visa already!

:)

Even with a valid visa, entry is at the discretion of the officer at POE. People tend to bring lots of evidence to prove that the stay is temporary, but there are no guarantees.

You have to have certain amount of money and property, and steady job, and return things. But they can always do what they want, they have before, but most times he usually can come, I sure hope so, cause flying to Kuwait is ok, but that takes so longgggggggg. Peace

I've been trying to find some information concerning the financial requirements for my B.I.L. (he's in UAE working) wanting to come to the states to scout things out for my S.I.L. and neice...how much is enough??? he was told "a substantial amount" was needed, but when he inquired further to meet the need, they just reverberated the same. any suggestions?????

My husband has a good Arab lawyer in New York, and that helps a lot, since the lawyer and my husband do business, I don't have to do anything but sign papers. One thing I know is that have to own some property, not sure how much, but they have to have real estate purchases, things of that nature.
