No, they won't raise taxes. They will just devalue the dollar and raise inflation, so we'll pay more for everything (including more taxes on the things we buy).

We print paper and sell it on the open market. In recent years, the Chinese have been buying much of it, thus giving rise to the popular media meme of "we're borrowing money from the Chinese". Fact is, the paper is for sale on the open market and anyone can buy it. The Chinese came to us, we didn't go to them. They needed a safe place to put their money and thought (silly Chinese) that place was with us
