I-485 denials

Hi,

can anyone tell me how many percent of the I485 cases are being denied in average?

I am wondering, here in this forum you always read things like "The interview was bery pleasant and easy" or "The interview lasted about 10 minutes".

But on other webpages you can read that officials assume that almost 60% of the marriage-based immigration cases are fraudulent.....

What's going on? Is it so easy to circumvent the American immigration system? What's the reason that most fraud cases stay undetected?

It seems that couples don't need to furnish the IO with much evidence of a bonafide marriage.

When I will be 80 I am going to marry an 18 year old alien girl and at the interview we will show up with no evidence at all. I am sure my case is going to be approved...... :-)

Don't misunderstand me. I personally don't care if there are coming 10.000 or 10.000.000 aliens per year to the US, I just wondering about all this.

I have the feeling that the word "fraud" immediately disqualifies someone to receive an answer here....

I think people didn't answer because they disagree with you that "most fraud cases stay undetected" and "interviews lasting 10 minutes and being easy".

There are many long and second interviews you can read about on here, and those who got a denial/ delay pending further evidence.

Also, the people on this site are, I'd guess, much less likely to be frauds than the average applicant, as most on here come to get help doing their own filing. That being said, my own interview was short and pleasant. I put this down to a number of factors, including:

1. Being from a low fraud post (Western European)

2. Being a "low risk" beneficiary (white, Jewish female in her 30s with good job and money).

3. Having been married 3.5 years before applying, living together all that time, and having two USC kids with the petitioner
