Hi Lorelle, It maybe a Fissure, from personal experience I happen to know what this is, it is a small cut in the ####### passage. Quite a while ago I had an operation to correct this problem it worked for about 10 years then started all over again, I was given medicine to insert up into the ####### area which did work. Since I've been here in the USA I have changed my diet and I have not had one attack. Where as before in England when I was due on I would get an attack. The bleeding occurs when you have a number 2 (yes I know this is going to sound wierd) but it depends how loose your number 2 is, if it is hard then it will scrape the cut over and over so making the cut bleed. Go check it out with the doctor and try not to worry to much.

ah ya beat me to it - my pal had ####### fissure after childbirth - tho Doc said they can occur also anytime and are not uncommon in people who get constipated.

Hers was really bad though - one of the worst her Doc had seen - and had to have an op to close it - but her doc said many are internal, and the first sign is bleeding, and the blood is bright as opposed to dark red.

Water fibre and YOGHURT are all great for the bowels - yoghurt softens stools as do water and fibre helps things keep on keeping on lol.

Eat plenty of VEGGIES as well and stay away from nuts as these tend to scratch the inside of the rectum as they pass out (eww..TMI?)

wench, my mum had colitis so i know about the worrying. but like some of these guys mentioned, it might just be a small fissure or something. just let the doc check it out to put your mind at ease. or give him/her a call and explain your symptoms and let them judge if you should come in, or observe it for a day or so.

anya-d, i HATE hospitals and needles and all that stuff too. but ya gotta do what ya gotta do for your own good. i don't think dripping is good. go to the doc soon, ok?

best of luck and no more sore bums for either of ya!

I have a sore bum.....and some blood.......and no I dont have those dangly things. Im a little freaked out. Been like this the past few days.

acute5vr.gif and no laughing.......this is serious :unsure::blush:

I once took an apparently excess amount of pain pills for my back...(seems to have gotten worse with age...unfortunaty)...

I can't speak for the ...um..."dangly" parts......(I still don't quite get what that may be...and not sure I want to know  ................but I CAN speak from experience in that an excess amount of "asprin".....pain medication such as motrin etc........does cause bleeding.)..

After that episode...I have toned down what I take,...and stay away from asprin.

But the point is....there are side effects such as this from asprin and other medication.

Not knowing what exactly your situation is...or what you've taken recently, I am just throwing out that possibility.

Good luck and take care of yourself..........

I agree with Gimy. Get some stool softener's and some preperation H.

You probley have hemroids inside which can be very painful. :crying:

Being stressed doesnt help any either. Probley your nerves with everything thats coming up for you.

Try the stool softerner's, bet that will help you a great deal.

Hope your butt feels better soon.

fibre fibre fibre... and be prepared for the problem to get worse once you're eating american food. i've had haemmerhoids for over a decade and they almost never bothered me until i moved here! pooping and seeing blood is scary, but they're minor... i have to eat cereal and/or vegetables EVERY DAY and then its easy to poop = no scary blood!
