Here's how our interview in Louisville went yesterday. We took the 4 hour drive down on Wednesday night and got a hotel room. Our appointment was for 8 and the office opened at 7:30. There were only about 6 groups of people waiting. My husband was called in first, then when he came our it was my turn. They interviewed almost every couple seperate it seemed.

The officer told me at the beginning that my vaccinations weren't complete and I would have to get the vaccination supplement done. Yes, we risked it but it all turned out well in the end.

My husband and I compared our questions afterwards, these are some of what he asked each of us:

Describe a layout of our bedroom

What side of the bed do you sleep on?

How many bedrooms are in your house?

Where did your wedding take place?

How many guests?

Here's what he asked me:

Do you work?

What does your husband do?

What do you drive? (I don't yet)

Did your family attend your wedding?

What do you live in?

How do you like it here?

When and how did you meet?

When did you meet in person?

Did he ever go to Canada?

Have you ever travelled to the US before besides to visit him?

Have either of you ever been married?

I can't remember all them right now, but it seems like he asked me alot of questions, including almost every yes/no one. He then asked me for proof of our relationship. I gave him joint tax returns and IRS refund letters, copy of health insurance cards, eye exam receipts, net/phone bill, he asked if we had a joint bank account I said we didn't and explained. He looked through the 20 photos I brought.

Then he explained to me about what I needed to do and said that as soon as I mail in the vaccination supplement he will approve my case and I'll receive information about my green card conditions. I should receive my card in 1-3 weeks after approval.

Well after the interview I told my husband what happened and we decided to look for a doctor around here to get the supplement done since there aren't any close ones where we live. Luckily I had written the ones in the area down in case this would happen. We found one that was only about 3 blocks away and went there. They were closed but I called on the cell to see there hours. We waited about an hour for them to open at 10. We got the form plus a copy for $10. The receptionist told me she can't believe they made me get this done. She said she double checked my worksheet from Canada and it was complete.

I didn't expect it to go so well but since it did I decided there was no way I was gonna mail it in. I went back to the courthouse and delivered my supplement to them. This morning I got 3 emails that my welcome letter is on its way!

CONGRATULATIONS.

We will be going through Louisville. I am glad your interview went so well. It is funny that even though we have been married over 3 years I am nervous over stupid things. If we get interviewed seperatly I am sure Alex will not know the color of my tooth brush. Goodness I am not sure if he knows our home phone number, he just presses the speed dial on his cell phone. There are just certain things that he does not pay attention to.
