Hello Guys,

So we're happy that my wifey has been approved for AP and we just received it this week.

We cannot be more excited about my wife to visit her home country to see her family and relatives, however, I read the three notices:

1. Parole is not admission into the United States

2. Parole into the United States is not guaranteed

3. Travel Warning Regarding Unlawful Presence

Does this mean that when you departed the US, your AOS will be on Pause and when you return USCIS will resume its process on AOS.

I'm not exactly sure word by word what it all means, but it seems like DHS is saying "We cannot guarrantee re-entry if there are any problems and it can depend on Customs Border Protection"

Least thats how I feel after reading the notices.

Has anyone heard of anyone being denied of entry with the use of the AP.

Also, we received 2 sheets of the same document. The 2 documents do not have a Parole Stamp. Why did DHS sent us 2 sets.

Lastly, how do I know if its a multiple or single entry AP.

Thanks.

Drmirage.

The most common is people who have had a previous overstay on there record, are at risk of being denied entry even though they have been paroled.

When you travel the first time you take both. At re-entry you give both to the POE and they will keep one and return one to you. The second copy is now your permanent copy to use for any subsequent entries.

YMMV

Does this mean that when you departed the US, your AOS will be on Pause and when you return USCIS will resume its process on AOS.

No, the USCIS will keep processing the I-485 for your AOS.

I read the entire document again and it is a Multiple Application. HEHEHE

The AP lists my wife's married name.

Will there be a problem for her to use her Philippine passport. It has her single, unmaried name.

I heard that you should bring a marriage certificate/license so there will be evidence of the name change.

And make sure her airline tickets are in her maiden name.

And don't be surprised if they don't take one of the copies. I still have both my sheets.

Im in the middle east right now while my wife and daughter are at my familys home back in Pa. She plans to go to the philippines to visit her family and will be taking our daughter with her. She is of course traveling on the AP and we were wondering if she needs to have written permission from me to allow her to take our daughter? Thanks
