Passport in maiden name, help?

phew, I have tried calling nearly every blimmin agency around and I still can't get the info I need.

I am due to fly out to the Uk for a family emergency in 4 weeks time, and even though my green card is in my married name, my passport is still in my maiden name.

Does anybody have any experience or info on this issue? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

people do it all the time... all you do is carry the passport, greencard and the document that makes the name change... My wife did it this summer without issue.

or you can contact the Consulate in Washington DC to have your passport changed.

Hi Chloe,

I have travelled twice with my passpot in my maiden name and it is not a problem. First of all be sure that your plane ticket is booked in the same name your passport is in if you are travelling overseas. Carry your greencard and also your marriage certificate and it won't be a problem.
