What reason would the consular officer have for denying you the visa when you have your interview at the embassy?

Anyone had any problems?

Just curious after reading the family based visa denials topic.

Criminal record um, HIV,overstay...............dont worry, London is pretty relaxed  .........if you have nothing to worry about, then dont worry

If you were going to be denied on medical grounds, you'd know about it. The Dr told me that he would not forward bad records to the embassy without the consent of the applicant, because your medical records are personal.

Erm lemme see if I can recall the redflags....

  • Not sharing the common language
  • Relationship doesn't look valid
  • Not having the right documents ready can make you seem ...well not serious
  • Not enough evidence of time period you've known each other
  • Overstay
  • Previous visa denied (is a red flag if you've lied and they found and is generally a red flag even if you do mention it)
  • Drug abuse
  • Criminal records
  • Contagious illness
  • They consider you may become a public charge (nice ones like London ask you to get a co-sponcer instead of straight up denying you)

Love hurts

When you live an ocean away

When you change your sleep schedule to catch a few more moments

When you really need to be held and you have to imagine whilst your partner describes it

When you constantly refresh the USCIS website to see if you're getting any closer

Love Loves

When it repays you with the love of your life

When God finally answered your biggest prayer

When you can live life again in the real world but still have that eternal connection

When you wake up for to the beginning of the rest of your life with the person you fought so hard for

When you love somebody that much

You'll do anything

engkishx,

The INA lists a number of things that make a person ineligible for a visa to the USA. Some of the things can be waived in the case of a person who is a family member of a USC.

The consular officer will deny a visa application if they determine that the visa applicant is not eligible for a visa. If a waiver is possible the applicant will be advised that they can apply for the waiver.
