There's no pretty solution.

There is so much that doesn't make sense - that doesn't add up - that it all feels surreal.

Could this be simply something so huge that simply looking at these puzzle pieces doesn't give us the big picture?

I notice Bush said "most" of the money will be returned to the treasury. If the market stabilises, why not "all"?

Personally I don't see why we can't get a return on the investment... given that the public would essentially be paying for this crisis twice over...

Some of us will. If "us" means foreign countries we buy things from or friends of the administration.
