Yup, I remember Teddy Ruxpin too. Didn't know it was Canadian though, as I thought that was American. Oh well. Hey, did you know that Shannon Dorherty (you know, that 90210 gal) did a seigment on that show too (the "Teddy speaks" one after the show)? By the way, what was the name and the kind of creature exactly was that side-kick of Teddy's (the yellow/orange one that looked kind of like a walking caterpillar)? Then there was that old man character and that purple-like monster creature that was in the waterfall, what were their names again?

Theme song (from memory): "Come dream with me tonight. Dream with me tonight. Let's go to far off places, and search into the sky...(something something)....Dream with me tonight....lalalala...."

Wow, I can't believe I actually guessed that one right !

Lol..don't worry, I'm sure if you hung around VJ long enough, you wouldn't have had to wait a year, and someone would have eventually guessed it. Lol..that question got me stumped for the last hour or so (and yeah, my husband is looking at me very funny right now), but I thought I would just guess. I didn't watch that show much though, and only saw the promos for it, and it was on during a time while I was in school. But yeah, I remember the title, and a puppet-like character with the name of "Echo" (or something like that) who had a bird-nest like green hairdo....

I guess all this "useless trivia" goes back to my childhood, where I spent most of it watching tv to escape from the unhappiness around me in real life (sigh, believe me, you wouldn't want to know)...

Oh well, maybe some of this useless knowledge will be of use here. Glad to be able to help you (cut your guess from 365 days to a few hours), and now you can rest easy tonight knowing what your "swamp show" is...lol...

Ok, now I'm stumped on a Canadian children's show. Can someone else help me out too?

The show is:

-A YTV children's show, during the early-late 90's

-The setting was in the sea/ocean

-Had the puppet-like characters of: Terry the turtle, Cornelious the oyster-like creature, a hermit crab, a professor sea-creature, a clam-like elderly lady, fish, etc.

-Theme Song went like this: "Whales, and scallops too, Underneath the ocean blue.....(something, something, something, blah...)"

Anyone know of this show...help ! Lol..now it's my turn to say I can't sleep without thinking of this "sea show".....

and OMG Groundling Marsh!!! That show was awesome. I freaking love YTV when I was a kid.

Another one of my all time favs was Under the Umbrella Tree. Was that Canadian?

Does anybody remember the song thta puppets in a train sang I think it was the Uncle Bobby show? GTA'ers should know this one, and for some reason last night while we were out walking the dogs it popped into my head...

The littlest hobo always made me sad, I don't know why.

Hilarious house of frightenstein was also Canadian and such an amazing show. I loved Igor dancing to the wolf man.

Did anyone mention the polka dot door yet? "the polka dot door, the polka dot door, see you soon at the polka dot door..."

The Raccoons? This was one of my favorites as a young kid.

The Smoggies? Another one I watched as a young kid that made absoultely no sense.

I used to watch a lot of Big Top Talent because I danced on it once and a lot of my friends did too. I loved watching the dance numbers.

Also, I don't know if any one has mentioned Kids in the Hall yet.

It's funny, because I had originally written how it appeared that he was hungover (upon adult reflection.... at the time I remember thinking he seemed to be a little odd) but then I took it back so as not to cast aspersions upon his character. But since you've already outed him......
